Clinton Beats Stockbridge

The Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves secured a 9-4 victory over the Stockbridge Junior Varsity Panthers on Wednesday.
Clinton jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning. Cyle McLeod got things started with an RBI single, followed by a three-run homer to right field by Roman Roberts, giving the Redwolves a quick 4-0 advantage.
The Redwolves extended their lead in the second inning when Caleb Ernst singled to center field, driving in another run to make it 5-2.
Wyatt Cooley earned the win on the mound for Clinton, pitching 3.1 innings of no-hit ball. He allowed just one unearned run while striking out five and walking three. McLeod started the game, throwing 1.2 innings, allowing two hits and three runs (two earned), and striking out four.
Clinton racked up 10 hits in the game. Roberts drove in three runs with his homer, going 1-for-3 at the plate. Ernst was perfect in his three at-bats, collecting three hits, while Daejaun Garrison contributed two hits in four trips to the plate. Cooley showed strong plate discipline, drawing two walks. Overall, the Redwolves displayed patience, working six walks in total.
On the basepaths, Garrison was a standout with three stolen bases, as Clinton swiped six bags in the game.
Clinton JV Baseball Splits with Tecumseh JV

Game 1:
The Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves came up just short in a hard-fought battle against the Tecumseh Junior Varsity Indians, falling 5-4 on Monday after a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Clinton held a 4-0 lead going into the bottom of the sixth, but Tecumseh mounted a late rally, tying the game in the seventh and sealing the win with a clutch hit in extra innings.
The Redwolves got on the board in the fourth inning when Roman Roberts delivered an RBI single. Clinton’s offense was led by Roberts, who drove in two runs and went 1-for-4 at the plate. He was supported by teammates Cyle Mcleod, Zack Andrews, Brock Worden, Daejaun Garrison, and Caleb Ernst, who each recorded a hit.
On the mound, Ernst started for Clinton and pitched seven solid innings, giving up seven hits and four runs while striking out one and walking three.
Jake Halchishak added pressure on the base paths, swiping two bases, and the Redwolves turned one double play on defense.
Despite a strong start and solid team effort, Clinton couldn't hold off Tecumseh’s late surge and took the tough loss in extras.
Game 2:
Both teams showcased strong pitching on Monday, but it was the Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves who came out on top, edging the Tecumseh JV Indians 3-2 in a late-game thriller.
The game remained close throughout, with Tecumseh taking an early lead. They scored one run in the first on a sacrifice fly and added another in the second with a single down the left-field line.
Clinton responded in the third inning. Jake Halchishak swiped home to put the Redwolves on the board, and Cyle Mcleod tied the game with a groundout RBI. The game stayed locked at 2-2 until the top of the seventh, when Mcleod delivered a clutch sacrifice fly to bring in the go-ahead run.
Zack Andrews was solid on the mound for Clinton, earning the win with six innings of work. He allowed just two hits and two runs (one earned), striking out one and walking six. Mcleod came in to close and earned the save.
Offensively, Mcleod and Kyler Pawlowski each recorded a hit for the Redwolves. Mcleod led the team with one RBI. Clinton showed strong discipline at the plate, drawing eight walks—Roman Roberts and Wyatt Cooley each earning two. On the bases, Clinton was aggressive, collecting four stolen bases, including multiple swipes from Halchishak and Daejaun Garrison.
With the win, Clinton JV Redwolves look to carry their momentum into their next matchup as they travel to face the Stockbridge JV Panthers on Wednesday.
Clinton JV Baseball Loses Twice Against Chelsea

Game 1:
The Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves were unable to keep up with Chelsea in a 5-1 loss on Monday.
Clinton struck early, scoring their only run in the first inning following an error by Chelsea. However, Chelsea responded quickly, taking a 3-1 lead in the top of the third and maintaining control for the rest of the game.
Caleb Ernst started on the mound for Clinton and took the loss. He pitched a complete game, allowing five runs—three of them earned—on 10 hits. Ernst struck out six and walked just one over seven innings.
Offensively, Roman Roberts, Wyatt Cooley, and Jake Halchishak each recorded a hit for the Redwolves. Defensively, Clinton turned two double plays to help limit further damage.
Game 2:
The Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves struggled to keep pace with Chelsea, falling 10-3 in the second game of their matchup.
Clinton got on the board early in the first inning when Caleb Ernst singled to drive in a run. Chelsea responded in the top of the third, tying the game at 1-1, and later pulled ahead with a four-run fifth inning to make it 5-1.
Jake Halchishak was charged with the loss for Clinton. Zack Andrews started on the mound, pitching four innings and giving up five hits and one unearned run. He struck out two and walked one.
At the plate, Ernst led the offense with two hits in three at-bats and drove in a run. Halchishak also added an RBI for the Redwolves.
Clinton JV Baseball Picks Up First Win of the Season at Columbia Central

Wyatt Cooley went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves to a 9-6 win over Columbia Central on Tuesday, April 1st. Cooley hit a double in the second inning, a single in the first, and another single in the seventh.
The Redwolves took the lead in the second inning when Cooley’s double scored two runs, putting them ahead 2-1. However, Columbia Central regained the lead in the third inning giving Columbia Central a 3-2 advantage.
Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves surged ahead in the seventh inning with a five-run rally. Zack Andrews singled to score a run, Roman Roberts walked to bring in another, and Jake Halchishak added a single, scoring a third run in the inning to give Clinton a 9-6 lead.
Cooley pitched the final 2.2 innings to earn the win, allowing no hits or runs and walking two batters. Halchishak started the game for Clinton, giving up four hits and four runs over 2.2 innings, and Caleb Ernst also appeared in relief for the Redwolves.
Clinton’s offense was strong, recording 11 hits, with Kolton Pruss and Brock Worden contributing multiple hits each. Roberts led the team with three walks and stole two bases. As a team, Clinton accumulated 11 walks and stole seven bases. Defensively, the Redwolves were flawless, committing no errors and turning one double play. Andrews led the team with nine fielding chances.
