MS Polar Bear Club Completes 2025 Season
CoEd Middle School Cross CountryThe Clinton Middle School Polar Bear Club has concluded for the 2025 season. The club consisted of 58 runners and ran 23 miles over 12 meetings during October and November. The program is designed to get students active in grades 5-8. A typical day consisted of jogging to the elementary school, stretching, playing games, and jogging back to the middle school. Each session ended with hot chocolate and cookies. The club celebrated the conclusion of its 9th season by watching Wicked: For Good at the Clinton Theater.

Boys Junior Varsity FootballThe Clinton JV Redwolves football team finished their season on Thursday night travelling to Plymouth to take on the Wildcats. They were able to come out of this game victorious finishing their perfect, 9 and 0 season. Bronson Whelan started the game off quickly for the Redwolves with a strip fumble, and then a couple plays later scoring on a carry from 2 yards out. Daejaun Garrison would run the 2 point conversion making the score 8 to 0. On their next offensive drive, Wyatt Dehring would get loose and score from 65 yards, and Isaac Keibler would convert the 2 point, making it 16 to 0. Whelan would intercept a pass on the next defensive series, and would score again on a 32 yard carry. Noah Jenkins completed a pass to CJ Mitchell for the 2 point and the score would become 24 to 0. Football Defeats Defending State Champs for Regional Title
Boys Varsity FootballThe Varsity Football team traveled to Millington High School almost two hours away for the MHSAA Regional Championship Game on Saturday, November 15th. The Redwolves were up to the challenge as they took down the defending state champions 20-18 in a thrilling game. In the first quarter each team traded punts in their first possessions. But in Redwolves second possession Cliff Jones caught a pass from Gradyn Whelan for a 2 yard touchdown. Whelan then connected with tight end Bryce Randolph for the two point conversion to make the score Clinton 8 Millington 0 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was a defensive battle and neither team found the endzone. At halftime the score was Clinton 8 Millington 0. Football Wins District Championship Over SMCC
Boys Varsity FootballThe Varsity Football Team traveled to Monroe to faced defending state runner up Monroe St. Mary's Catholic Central for a District Championship. The Redwolves came away with a hard fought 22-14 win and an MHSAA District Championship. The Redwolves opened the season with a 6-42 loss to SMCC. But Friday was different. The defense held time and time again and the offense found traction. It was a back and forth battle of two great football teams. Clinton was stopped on their opening drive of the game, but returned the favor and stopped SMCC in their opening drive. The first quarter ended scoreless for both teams. In the second quarter, Clinton battled back moving the ball on the ground, then Whelan hit Brenden Benschoter on a 69 yard pass to open the scoring. Clinton's extra point kick was blocked though. Varsity Football Defeats Whiteford in First Round of Playoffs
Boys Varsity FootballThe varsity football team earned a home playoff team for the first round of the MHSAA Playoffs on Halloween Night. The Redwolves were ready and came away with a 36-20 win. Clinton came up big in a game that not many outside of our locker room gave us a chance to win. But the tradition and believe was there with the players, coaches, and community. That is all it took, belief and execution. Clinton racked up 481 yards of offense on the night after running for 416 yards and passing for another 65 yards. Clinton ended up with two backs over the 100 yard mark. Quarterback Gradyn Whelan picked up 157 yards rushing and threw for another 65 yards. Whelan had three touchdowns on the ground and was 3 for 9 passing. He also threw for two 2 point conversions, one to Cliff Jones and another to Bryce Randolph. Girls Junior Varsity VolleyballThe Clinton Redwolves JV volleyball team finished their season in championship form on Saturday, October 25, at the LCAA Tournament hosted by Onsted High School. The Redwolves battled through pool and bracket play to claim first place, ending their remarkable season with an overall record of 41-5.In pool play, Clinton dominated their competition, defeating Hudson (25-15, 25-3) and Blissfield (25-13, 25-9) before splitting with Onsted (23-25, 25-17). Their strong performance earned them the second seed heading into bracket play. The Redwolves started bracket play by meeting Blissfield once again, securing a convincing 25-16, 25-16 win. In the semifinals, they faced Onsted for a rematch and came out strong, taking the match 25-9, 25-19. That victory set the stage for a highly anticipated championship showdown against Ida—the only team to hand Clinton a league loss earlier in the season. Varsity Football Defeats Ubly on Senior Night
Boys Varsity FootballClinton hosted perineal power Ubly on Friday, Oct. 24th and came away with a 48-22 win. The start of the game was not ideal for the Redwolves as they were stopped twice on 4th down and turned the ball over on downs giving Ubly a short field to work with. Clinton went down 0-14 to start the game. Clinton battled back in the second quarter with a one yard touchdown run by Gradyn Whelan, then Whelan found Tanner Bolton in the back of the end zone for the two point conversion to make the score 8-14. After a defensive stop Clinton drove down the field again and was capped off with a 5 yard touchdown run by Braxton Randolph. The two point conversion was converted by Braxton Randolph as well. Clinton went up 16-14. Ubly answered by scoring on a 31 yard touchdown pass and converted a two point conversion after making the score Ubly 22 Clinton 16. With around a minute on the clock Clinton drove down the field, stopping the clock when needed.

MHSAA LP Region 27-3 Championship
CoEd Varsity Cross CountryOn Saturday, the Redwolves raced at Willow Metropark for the Region 27-3 XC Championships. Josslyn Handy, Grace Farrell, and Haiden Bennett all qualified for the LP Finals on November 1 at MIS. Handy finished 10th in the girls race with a time of 21:18.2 which was a personal best and made her the 5th fastest freshman in school history. Farrell also ran a personal best time of 21:34.6 to finish 12th earning automatic qualification by finishing in the top 15. Bennett finished 9th in the boys race with a personal best time of 17:28.1 making him the second fastest freshman in school history. The boys finished 6th overall with Austin Strand (25th), Peter Baker (37th), Jacob Pizio (40th), and Dylan Gurica who ran a personal best of 20:05.3 (41st) rounding out the scoring. Lucas Goetting finished 43rd, and Chris Scholten 57th.Good luck to Joss, Grace, and Haiden at the State meet.

Girls Junior Varsity VolleyballThe Clinton JV volleyball team continued their winning ways Tuesday night with a commanding victory over the Blissfield Royals. The Redwolves made quick work of the match, sweeping Blissfield in two decisive sets, 25-4 and 25-8.Josie Kranz led the offensive charge with 13 kills, posting an impressive .455 hitting percentage. DeLane McKinnon, Kylie Hicks, and Brooklynn Kranz each added five kills to round out a balanced attack. Emily Farmer ran a smooth offense, recording 25 assists on the night.From the service line, Zoey Riddle was dominant, scoring 21 points and serving up five aces. Farmer chipped in nine points, while Avah Vershum added seven. Defensively, Brooklynn Kranz set a new season high with 18 digs, and Riddle followed closely with 13.With the sweep, Clinton improves to 36-5 on the season. The Redwolves will look to finish their impressive run this weekend at the LCAA Tournament in Onsted.

Brooklynn Kranz led the team in kills with six, while Joslyn Kranz and Kylie Hicks each added four. Joslyn also made her presence known at the net with four blocks.From the service line, Brooklynn Kranz tallied 12 points, including five aces, while Hicks and Zoey Riddle each contributed six points. Clinton were jump started early by a 20 yard touchdown run by Daejaun Garrison, and a two point conversion on a pass from Wyatt Cooley to CJ Mitchell. On their next possession, Clinton scored again on a Bronson Whelan six yard touchdown run, and two point conversion on a pass from Cooley to Paul Blanchard. Ida’s next drive was cut short on an interception from Noah Jenkins. The Bluestreaks had another drive shortened by a fumble that was caused by Jenkins and recovered by Roman Roberts. Clinton capitalized on this mistake and scored a touchdown on a 20 yard touchdown pass from Jenkins to Blanchard. Girls Junior Varsity VolleyballThe Clinton Redwolves JV volleyball team put together an impressive performance at the Chelsea Tournament this weekend, taking on a strong field of larger schools and finishing the day in third place.The Redwolves came out strong in pool play, defeating all three of their opponents in straight sets. Clinton opened the day with a 25-17, 25-18 win over the host team, Chelsea, followed by dominant victories over Lumen Christi (25-13, 25-18) and Grass Lake (25-17, 25-13). With an undefeated record and a commanding point differential, the Wolves advanced out of pool play as the top seed.In the quarterfinals, Clinton faced Grass Lake again. After dropping the first set 21-25, the Redwolves battled back to win the next two sets 25-16 and 15-2, securing their spot in the semifinals. There, they met Parma-Western, a team that had handed them one of their few losses earlier in the season. Boys Varsity FootballIn the final LCAA game Clinton defeated Ida 28-16 to improve to 6-2 overall on the season. Ida is currently ranked in the top ten of division 6 and proved to be a great win for the Redwolves. Clinton was able to put up 353 yards rushing and another 48 yards in the air for 401 yards of total offense. Ida was limited to 20 offensive plays and Clinton 63 offensive plays. Our offense was able to control the game and the clock, with our defense getting the ball back to our offense quickly. Cliff Jones had a career game carrying the ball 35 times for 232 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a caught a pass for a two point conversion. The offensive line was the story of the night as Clinton has several starters out for the game and other players stepping doing a tremendous job. Lenawee County Championships: Handy First Team; Farrell and Bennett Second Team; Strand Honorable Mention
CoEd Varsity Cross CountryOn Saturday, the Redwolves XC teams traveled to Hudson High School for the annual LCAA Cross Country Championships. At the meet, Josslyn Handy earned 1st team all-LCAA running a personal best of 21:42 and finishing 7th overall. Grace Farrell ran a nearly 50 second personal best of 21:55 (beating her mom's PR from Clinton HS days) and earned second team honors finishing 9th. Haiden Bennett also earned second team honors finishing 10th and Austin Strand finished 21st earning honorable mention in the boys' race.Also running a personal best time was Dylan Gurica with a time of 20:51.Next the team travels to Willow Metropark for the Region 27 meet on Saturday, October 25th.

Clinton MS Cross Country Excels in 2025
CoEd Middle School Cross CountryThe Clinton Middle School Cross Country program has accumulated 72 team trophies and 899 individual medals over the last 9 seasons. “The success of the program is a direct result of the time and effort kids are willing to put forth,” said Coach Delezenne. Runners accumulated approximately 188 miles during the 2025 campaign. The 2025 team had 32 runners and earned 14 trophies and 130 medals. The returning runners were motivated to improve on last season. Both teams were competitive and thrived on the success of one another. Overall, it was a very successful season.The boys team won the LCAA Championship and finished top 2 in 9 races while earning runner-up in the Class C/D Division of the MHSAA Regional. Boys Junior Varsity FootballOn Monday, the Clinton JV football team travelled to Hudson and shut out the Tigers in a 38 to 0 win. The Redwolves got started by a 7 yard touchdown run from Wyatt Dehring, and a two point conversion from Bronson Whelan. After a 3 and out from their defense, Clinton scored again on a 20 yard touchdown run from Whelan and a two point conversion from Dehring. Clinton’s defense was able to force another 3 and out, and Whelan found the end zone again on a 5 yard touchdown, and Wyatt Cooley found CJ Mitchell for the 2 point conversion. On Hudson's first drive of the second half Noah Jenkins was able to intercept a pass and Clinton scored on the next play from 45 yards out by Dehring. Clinton’s Brock Worden recovered the following kickoff and Whelan was able to score yet again, this time from 37 yards out, and Cooley threw a pass to Dehring for the two point.
