Game 1:
The Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves were defeated 7-2 by the Tecumseh Freshman Indians on Monday. Despite the loss, Clinton's Kolton Pruss and Caleb Ernst proved to be a tough duo at the plate, each driving in a run for the Redwolves.
Cyle McLeod and Pruss each tallied one hit in the game, while Daejaun Garrison showcased his speed on the bases, stealing two bags. As a team, the Redwolves stole five bases during the game.
Defensively, Wyatt Cooley had the most action in the field, recording five chances throughout the contest.
Game 2:
The Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves were defeated 14-8 by the Tecumseh Freshman Indians on Monday, despite out-hitting their opponents 8-6. Cyle McLeod and Wyatt Cooley each recorded two hits in the game, leading the offensive charge for Clinton.
Clinton got off to a strong start, taking the lead in the top of the first inning. Caleb Ernst sparked the offense with a double, bringing in the game’s first run. Cooley, who went 2-for-3 at the plate, led the Redwolves with three RBIs.
Brock Worden contributed with his speed, stealing two bases during the game.
The Redwolves will look to bounce back on Thursday when they face the Ida Junior Varsity Bluestreaks at home.
