The Varsity wrestling team traveled to Lutheran Westland for the regional round of team competition. After 2 wins, the Redskins left with the trophy. The semi-final round was against the host and Clinton got out to a fast start and never looked back. The Redskins would not lose a match on the way to a 78-0 win over Lutheran Westland. That victory moved the Redskins to the final where they would face Memphis. Clinton dropped the opening bout by fall and then got 3 straight pins to make it 18-6. Memphis then won a close match to narrow the lead to 18-9 but that was the last match they would get and the Redskins won the last 9 Matches (8 by pin or forfeit with a decision sandwiched in the middle) for the 69-9 final. The win moves the team's record to 28-5 for the season and we now will await the tournament committees selection of seeds for our next opponent at Kalamazoo.  Individually the 14 guys that qualified to regional will wrestle at Whitmore Lake Saturday to try to advance tot he state finals at Ford Field March 6-7. Wrestling starts at 9:30
