The #3 ranked Redskin wrestling team took to the Mat to start their season Wednesday night at home and picked up 2 wins. The home meet also featured senior Noah Comar getting 2 pins on the night to push his career total for pins to 114. This moved him into a tie with current assistant coach Louis Posa for the schools career record. The night started with Ida and the Redskins wasted no time getting going winning the first 11 matches while cruising to a 67-12 win. The second dual was against Napoleon and again Clinton started fast winning the first 6 matches all by pin. The match of the night featured returning state champion Ethan Weatherspoon of Napoleon and Freshman Logan Badge in his first varsity action. Badge pushed him but fell by a very respectable 7-4 score. The two teams split the last 4 matches for a final of 54-18. The wrestling team is at Westland John Glenn Saturday for a team tournament that will feature the number 5 ranked team in the nation, Detroit Catholic Central and the number 9 ranked team in division one, John Glenn.
