The 8th grade Redwolves battled with the Dundee Vikings on a rainy Wednesday night. It was a battle of the defenses throughout the first half, neither team could find any momentum on offense. Late in the second quarter Wyatt Cooley came up with a nice interception to keep the score dead locked at 0 going into halftime.

With the Redwolves looking for some momentum, Brock Worden executed a perfect kick and Gradyn Whelan flew down the field to recover and give the offense a short field to work with. They would finally find the endzone with a rushing touchdown from Whelan. The Redwolves defense continued to be a force, as they have all season. They never let the Vikings get in a good groove. Daejaun Garrison forced a fumble midway through the 3rd quarter and Whelan was able to recover it. Braxton Randolph would then march the offense down the field and punch it in to give the Redwolves a 14-0 lead going into the 4th. Gradyn Whelan and Brock Worden were able to slam the door shut on Dundee by each finding the endzone in the final quarter of the game. A 26-0 final score has the 8th grade boys sitting at 3-0 on the season.

The boys will take a road trip to Onsted next week to take on the Wildcats.
