8th Grade

The 8th grade football team kicked off their season at Adrian Madison. The boys picked up where they left off last season with a great win against the Trojans. An amazing opening kickoff return by Gradyn Whelan for a touchdown would set the tone for the rest of the game.  The Red Wolves would score four times in the first half with multiple players contributing. Whelan threw a touchdown to Cyle McLeod, Brock Worden found the endzone on a nice touchdown run, and Jaxon Phillip capped off the first half scoring with a pick-six, followed by a Grady Aldridge 2-point conversion. Due to the adjusted scoring rules the Red Wolves took a 6-0 lead into halftime.

The defense was stelar all night being led by Isaac Keibler, it was tough for Adrian Madison to muster up any yardage. The Red Wolves were constantly in the backfield wrapping up for a ton of tackles for losses.

The offense continued to fire on all cylinders in the second half. Braxton Randolph had two rushing touchdowns, and Gradyn Whelan capped off the scoring with a long touchdown run. With the middle school scoring rules the adjusted final score was 24-0.

The team returns to action next Wednesday at Wegner Field against the Blissfield Royals.

7th Grade

The 7th grade team also came away with big shutout victory against the Trojans. The Red Wolves were dominate on both sides of the ball.

The outstanding defensive play was lead by linebackers Bronson Whelan and Noah Jenkins. CJ Mitchell, Jack Frederick and Seth Bird played great on defensive line making it very difficult for Madison to muster up any yardage. Wyatt Dehring had an interception in the game.

The offense was lead by the rushing attack from Joe Della-Badia, Aiden Hall, Bronson Whelan and Wyatt Dehring. Noah Jenkins connected with Noah Reid for a touchdown pass and Cayden Cook made a nice grab on a 2 point conversion. The rushing attack had plenty of help from the blocking up front by the offensive line.

The 7th grade team is back in action Wednesday at home vs the Blissfield Royals.
