Clinton wins 18-1 in a slow offensive start, but strong pitching%u2026 Kendall Phillip threw the complete game allowing just one hit with 3 walks and 15 strikeouts. Madison%u2019s one run came unearned.
Offense took a minute to adjust, but fired up with a grand slam from Ava Ormsby, finishing with 5 RBI. Phillip was 2-4 with 2 RBI and Emma Fair was 2-4 with 1 RBI.
Clinton will play Saturday at 10:00am against Columbia Central.

Clinton finishes regular season play 2-1 at the Reese Invitational, losing to #10 ranked Standish-Sterling 2-3. Kendall Phillip took the loss, spreading out 6 hits with 9 strikeouts.
Clinton%u2019s offense struggled early, but an RBI single by Lydia Ormsby and Taryn Hernandez in the top of the 7th, tied the game 2-2. Unfortunately Standish got the winning run with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th. Sydney Schuler was the only multiple hitter with 2, starting Clinton%u2019s streak in the 7th with a lead off single.
Clinton dominated their remaining two games, winning 16-0 against host Reese in 4 innings, and 10-0 in 5 innings against Beaverton. Taryn Hernandez threw both games, allowing just 4 hits with 15 strikeouts.
Brenna Broman hit her first high school home run, and Ava Ormsby hit her fourth, both in the second game.
Clinton finishes 25-12 overall and 14-0 in LCAA.
Clinton will open districts Tuesday at 4:30 HOME against Adrian-Madison.

Clinton Redwolves finish perfect in LCAA play with the 18-0 and 16-0 3 inning mercy wins tonight.
The pitchers were on fire BOTH throwing perfect games%u2026 Kendall Phillip controlled game 1, striking out all 9 batters faced.
The Redwolves gathered 15 walks, 3 hit batters, and 4 hits offensively, scoring 15 runs in the first inning. Offense was led by Annabell Preston going 2-2 with 2 RBI. Emma Fair added a 2 RBI triple.
Taryn Hernandez was equally as strong in game 2, with 8 strikeouts.
Raven Aldridge was 2-3 with 2 RBI. Clinton gathered 6 more hits and 9 walks.
Clinton will finish 14-0 in LCAA as they honored their 3 seniors tonight and long time supporter George Service!

Clinton takes 2 BIG wins in LCAA play tonight against Hudson (8-2, 5-4) tonight.
Kendall Phillip was the winning pitcher in game 1, (8-2) allowing 4 hits with 2 walks, 0 earned runs and 14 strikeouts in 7 full innings of play.
Ava Ormsby sparked the offense finishing 2-3 with an RBI. Phillip was 2-5 with a home-run (her 3rd) finishing with 2 RBI. Taryn Hernandez was 3-5. Brenna Broman added a single and 2 RBI.
Taryn Hernandez was the winning pitcher in game 2, capturing timely strikeouts to keep the Tigers from crossing the plate. She finished with 10 strikeouts and allowed 9 hits with 1 walk.
Despite the Tigers outhitting the Redwolves, (9 hits vs 5 hits), Clinton was able to plate 1 more than Hudson for the win.
Broman came up big with a 2 out single that scored 2. Phillip added an RBI triple in the 4th. Ava Ormsby was hit by a pitch 3 times%u2026 Hernandez, Kyleigh Ramos, and Emma Fair each added a hit for the Redwolves.
Clinton is now 10-0 heading into the highly anticipated double header at Dundee (9-1) on Thursday. Dundee took both last year, earning them the league title, so Clinton will be looking for some revenge.
Clinton is 19-8 overall.

Clinton split with Ypsi-Lincoln 5-3 (7 innings) and 6-16 (6 inning mercy rule).
Taryn Hernandez had a night! Hernandez was the winning pitcher in game 1, going the distance, allowing 6 hits, 1 walk, and 5 strikeouts.
Kendall Phillip and Brenna Broman led the offense each going 2-4 with 2 RBI%u2019s a piece.
Despite losing Game 2, Hernandez not only hit her first career home run, she hit a complete cycle with a triple in the first, HR in the third, singled in the fifth, and had a 2 RBI double in the sixth! Phillip added an RBI double and Kyleigh Ramos added a RBI single. Fair, Mull, and Preston each added a hit.

Clinton took two in tonight%u2019s LCAA match up 12-3 and 6-1 against Columbia Central.
Kendall Phillip got the win for the Redwolves in game 1, allowing 3 hits, 2 walks, with 9 strikeouts in 7 innings of play.
Ava Ormsby hit home run #3 in her first at bat, finishing 2-2 with 2 RBI. Kendall Phillip added an RBI triple. Emma Fair was perfect at the plate drawing 3 walks and an RBI single. Robin Mull was 2-3. Brenna Broman, Kyleigh Ramos, and Raven Aldridge each added an RBI and a hit.
Game 2 was deadlocked 1-1 until the Redwolves offense opened up in the 5th. Taryn Hernandez pitched her way to the second victory allowing just 4 hits with 8 strikeouts.
Emma Fair was once again perfect at the plate going 4-4. Phillip was 2-3 and Hernandez was 2-4 with an RBI double. Annabell Preston was 2-4 with an RBI and Aldridge added a pair of singles with an RBI.
Clinton is now 14-7 and travels to Ypsi-Lincoln for a non-conference double header tomorrow night.

Clinton faced challenging opponents in Grasslake today, ending 1-2. Clinton beat Centreville 8-3 in the first game of the day. Kendall Phillip was the winning pitcher throwing 4 hit less innings, leaving in the 5th, allowing 1 hit with 10 strikeouts and 5 walks. Phillip led the offense going 3-5 with an in-the-park home run, finishing with 5 RBI. Emma Fair hit her first bomb of the season finishing with 2 hits and 2 RBI. Raven Aldridge had 2 hits with an RBI. Robin Mull was 2-3. Clinton lost to Leslie 7-2, but not due to Taryn Hernandez%u2019s stellar pitching. She finished 4 innings, allowing 8 hits with 5 strikeouts and just 1 earned run. Lydia Ormsby came in relief allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run in 2 innings. Phillip led the offense 2-3 with a double and a stolen base. She was the only hit against Leslie%u2019s ace. Ormsby added a 2 RBI double to put Clinton on the board in the 5th inning. Clinton lost the final game of the day 0-8 against host Grasslake. Hernandez takes the loss allowing 9 hits with 4 K%u2019s. Lydia Ormsby came in relief allowing 1 hit in 1 inning. Clinton was robbed of many base hits by Grasslake%u2019s outstanding defense. Ormsby, Fair, and Ramos each recorded a single. Clinton has a busy week starting Tuesday against Columbia Central HOME, Wednesday they travel to Ypsi-Linvoln, and finish Thursday at Blissfield.

Clinton hosted Onsted in their second LCAA double header of the season. Both teams joined forces for a bigger cause, raising money for The American Cancer Society- in honor of Grandma Melody Roberts, raising over $1100%u2026
Clinton took both games 16-0 in 4 innings and 15-0 in 5 innings. Kendall Phillip threw a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and 1 hit batter.
Ava Ormsby was 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI . Taryn Hernandez was 3-4 with a pair of doubles and 4 RBI. Phillip was 2-4 with 3 RBI. Robin Mull was 3-3.
Game 2 Taryn Hernandez was the winning pitcher, allowing one base hit with 8 strikeouts.
Kyleigh Ramos was perfect at the plate going 2-2 with an RBI. Ava Ormsby was 3-4 with 3 RBI and 4 stolen bases. Phillip was 2-4 with 3 stolen bases and 1 RBI. Brenna Broman was 2-2, while Emma Fair had a 2 RBI double.
Clinton will head to Grasslake on Saturday to play in their invitational.

Clinton split with Hanover Horton tonight 6-11 and 10-2.
Taryn Hernandez pitched the first game allowing 10 hits, 4 earned runs with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks. Our defense struggled with 6 errors. Brenna Broman came in in relief, allowing 2 hits with 2 walks and 0 earned runs.
Offense started to come alive having a 5-run 5th inning starting off with a Kendall Phillip double. Kyleigh Ramos led going 2-3 with 2 RBI. Ava Ormsby was 2-3.
The second game was more like Clinton softball. Kendall Phillip was the winning pitcher allowing 3 hits with 6 walks and 7 strikeouts. Kierra Fivenson made her varsity debut as the starting catcher. She did a great job!
Ava Ormsby led the offense going 2-3 with a 3-run homer. Kyleigh Ramos also added a 3-run home-run. Annabell Preston was 2-3.
Clinton is now 9-5 and will travel to Jackson Northwest on Monday for a non-league double header.

Win: 12.0 - 2.0
Clinton remains unbeaten in LCAA after the sweep against Blissfield 12-2 in 5 innings and 4-0.
Kendall Phillip was the winning pitcher in game 1, allowing 3 hits with 8 strikeouts in 5 innings.
Clinton%u2019s offense was a complete team effort totaling 11 hits and 12 runs. Phillip was 2-3 with an RBI double. Ava Ormsby was 2-3 with 2 RBI. Raven Aldridge was perfect going 2-2 with a walk and a RBI. Emma Fair added a 2 RBI single. Annabell Preston added an RBI single. Kyleigh Ramos was 1-2 with a stolen base.
Taryn Hernandez threw her first no hitter of the season, one error away from a perfect game, with 13 strikeouts. She was also 1-2 at the plate with a RBI on a deep Sacrifice Fly. Ormsby was 2-3 with an RBI. Phillip was 1-2. Preston and Brenna Broman each added a hit.
Clinton finished their 6 game stretch, adding 5 wins to their record. 8-0 in LCAA and 17-7 overall as they take the weekend off for prom. They will return to league play next week: Tuesday vs Hudson and Thursday against Dundee before heading to the west side of the state to take on some Division 1 and 2 ranked teams.

Clinton dropped 2 at the Whiteford Invitational losing 7-6 in 8 innings and 11-1 in a 5 inning mercy game.
Taryn Hernandez threw the first game allowing 6 hits, 6 walks, with 4 strikeouts. Defense struggled in the 5 th inning, allowing Flatrock to come back from a 6-1 deficit. Clinton finally got the 3rd out, and was able to tie the game in the last inning 7-7. Flatrock kept Clinton scoreless in the international inning, Flatrock scored the winning run in their half of the inning on a SAC bunt and two groundouts to third.
Ramos was 3-4 with an RBI. Ava Ormsby was 2-3 with a 2-run homer and 3 RBI.
Clinton lost their second game in the 5 inning mercy rule. Defense struggled again, along with a crucial injury and Clinton just couldn%u2019t bounce back.
Clinton only had 3 hits, Hernandez, Aldridge, and Sydney Schuler.
Clinton will continue their season at Blissfield on Tuesday.

Clinton took two in the DH at Jackson Lumen Christi tonight.
Game one was a tight 2-0 in a full 7 innings game. Clinton%u2019s defense shined tonight, completing 3 double plays. Emma Fair dominated the first to third throw for 2 of the DP%u2019s. Kendall Phillip was the winning pitcher going the distance, allowing 2 hits with 9 strikeouts and 5 walks.
Offense struggled but was able to score 2 runs on Brenna Broman%u2019s single in the second inning and Raven Aldridge%u2019s single in the 6th. Sydney Schuler was 2-3 and scored the first run and Taryn Hernandez scored on her hit in the 6th.
Game two was a different story. Defense was still strong completing a 1st to 3rd double play, but this time from the arm of Schuler. Taryn Hernandez was the winning pitcher with 8 strikeouts and 3 hits.
Offense was the difference. Kendall Phillip was 3-3 with a 2-run homerun finishing with 3 RBI, Hernandez was also 3-3 with a 2 RBI double, finishing with 3. Kyleigh Ramos was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a 2-run homer. Aldridge added a pair of doubles and 2 RBI. Ava Ormsby added a pair of hits and a RBI. Annabell Preston was 3-3 with 3 stolen bases.
Clinton is 8-2 and headed to Whiteford Saturday.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Ida High School

Clinton took 2 in their opener in LCAA tonight against Ida, winning pitcher in game 1 was Kendall Phillip going 6 innings, allowing 3 hits, 1 run, with 10 strikeouts. Lydia Ormsby came in for so mound time in the 7th, before Phillip re-entered for the last 3 outs.
Offense was led by Sydney Schuler going 3-3 with a double and 4 RBI. Emma Fair was 2-2 with 2 RBI. Ava Ormsby and Kyleigh Ramos each added 2 hits apiece.
Taryn Hernandez earns the shut out win in game 2 in a 3-inning mercy rule, allowing just 1 hit with 4 strikeouts.
Offense combined for 12 hits, Schuler perfect again, going 2-2 with a double. Raven Aldridge is the first Redwolf to join the dinger board with a 2-run homerun in her first at bat. Emma Fair and Robin Mull were both perfect going 2-2 and 3-3.
Clinton is 6-2, 2-0 in LCAA play.

Clinton took two in a double header against Bronson in non-conference action.
What started out as a controlled Clinton offense turned into a close pitcher%u2019s dual. Kendall Phillip took the win in the close 5-4 first game. She allowed 8 hits with 9 strikeouts.
Offense was led by Phillip going 2-4 with an RBI and Ava Ormsby was 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI. Sydney Schuler was consistent going 3-3 with a SAC bunt.
Game 2 was also a pitcher%u2019s dual, with both teams scoreless going into the international tie breaker in the 8th inning. Taryn Hernandez earned the win, allowing 4 hits, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts. Clinton%u2019s defense settled down and worked hard in game 2.
Phillip was 3-4 with 3 stolen bases. Ava Ormsby led off in the 8th with an RBI double, scoring Clinton%u2019s runner that started on second. Taryn Hernandez scored the second run on a suicide squeeze before the top half of the inning ended.
Hernandez forced 3 pop ups to finish the 8th, leaving Clinton on top.
Clinton is now 4-2 and will start league play Tuesday.

Clinton%u2019s pitchers lead team to 10-0 and 6-3 wins over Dundee, clinching the LCAA title tonight for its 2nd in 3 years. (12-0 with a double header against Hillsdale on Tuesday).
Kendall Phillip threw game one, allowing no hits with 10 strikeouts, and one walk.
Phillip was 2-4 with a 2-run homer. She ended 2-4. Brenna Broman came up big, being perfect at the plate 3-3 with an RBI. Raven Aldridge added a double and 2 RBI. Emma Fair added a single and 2 RBI.
Taryn Hernandez threw game two allowing one hit with 13 strikeouts. (Both pitchers hit 100 K%u2019s this season as well).
Kyleigh Ramos led the offense in a big way, hitting a bases loaded triple, finishing 2-3 with 4 RBI. Phillip was 2-3. Hernandez, Lydia Ormsby, and Aldridge each added a hit. Ava Ormsby added an RBI.
Clinton is 12-0 in LCAA and 21-8 overall.

Clinton dropped two in non-league match up against a strong D2 New Boston Huron.
Game 1: loss 1-9
Taryn Hernandez went the distance allowing 8 hits with 5 strikeouts. Clinton%u2019s defense mishandled a few defensive plays that caused New Boston to capitalize.
Hernandez was 2-3 at the plate while Kendall Phillip was our only run to score of a lead off base hit in the first inning.
Game 2: loss 4-12
Kendall Phillip threw 4.1 innings allowing just 4 hits and had 3 strikeouts. Brenna Broman records the loss, throwing 1.2 innings giving up 8 hits. Lydia Ormsby came in to close getting 2 strikeouts.
The offense struggled to get the hit, leaving bases loaded in 2 of the innings, leaving many other runners in scoring position. They also out hit Huron. Kendall Phillip was 3-5 with 2 stolen bases. Ava Ormsby was 2-5 with 2 RBI. Lydia Ormsby was 2-3 with an RBI. Emma Fair was 2-3.
Clinton is now 2-2 heading into Easter break. They will play again Thursday at Bronson.
