Clinton dropped 2 at the Whiteford Invitational losing 7-6 in 8 innings and 11-1 in a 5 inning mercy game. Taryn Hernandez threw the first game allowing 6 hits, 6 walks, with 4 strikeouts. Defense struggled in the 5 th inning, allowing Flatrock to come back from a 6-1 deficit. Clinton finally got the 3rd out, and was able to tie the game in the last inning 7-7. Flatrock kept Clinton scoreless in the international inning, Flatrock scored the winning run in their half of the inning on a SAC bunt and two groundouts to third. Ramos was 3-4 with an RBI. Ava Ormsby was 2-3 with a 2-run homer and 3 RBI. Clinton lost their second game in the 5 inning mercy rule. Defense struggled again, along with a crucial injury and Clinton just couldn%u2019t bounce back. Clinton only had 3 hits, Hernandez, Aldridge, and Sydney Schuler. Clinton will continue their season at Blissfield on Tuesday.
