The Clinton Co-ed Varsity Track teams were in action on Tuesday competing at Adrian Madison for a meet with the Trojans and Whiteford. Taking first for the girls were Ali Elwart in the 800m (2:54), Maykala Fletcher in the 3200m (14:16), Lindsey Burton in the long jump (15-0) and Amanda Schaare in the shot put (38-3) and discus (140-6). Paige Studnicka was third in the 100m and 2nd in the 200m, Burton third in the 400m, Alissa King third in the 800m and second in the 3200m and Elwart second in the 1600m, The girls split their meet defeating Whiteford 82-41 and losing to Adrian-Madison 92-43. On the boys side, winners included Trevor Underwood in the 100m (11.4) and 400m (53.9), Noah DeShano in the 200m (23.7), Noah Smith in the 800m (2:10), Christian Minard in the 3200m (11:37), Lucas Crumb in the 110 hurdles (15.5) and 300m hurdles (41.6), Conner Brodie in the shot put (45-1), Clay Langer in the long jump (20-1) and the 800m relay team of Alex Wylie, Noah DeShano , Colton Freeman and Underwood with a seasons best time of 1:32.6. Wylie was third in the 100m, Freeman third in the 200m, Tyler Szczepanski second in the 400m, Minard second in the 1600m and Steven Posa second in the discus. The boys also split the meet losing to Adrian-Madison 75.5-61.5 and defeating Whiteford 109-22. The teams will now compete at the MHSAA Regional on Saturday in East Jackson.
