The Clinton 7th grade girls’ volleyball team traveled to Onsted to battle the Wildcats. Clinton rallied late to win the first set 25-22. The Redwolves stayed aggressive with accurate serving and won the second set 25-19. Then captured the final set 25-22.
Clinton easily dominated the net with 10 kills on the night. Coach Cornish was pleased with the team’s over all ball control, and with a team high of 20 service Aces.

Abigail Martinez had 7 service points 3 Aces 1 Kill.
Ashlynn Benschoter had 6 points with 5 Aces and 1 Kill
Gabby Cordova had 6 points with 1 Ace and 1 Kill.
Kaylin Sposite had 4 points 3 Aces and 2 kills.
Avery Loftis had 4 points 2 kills and 1 assist
Abigail Ureche had 3 points 1 Ace and 1 kill
Zoey Utz had 1 point 1 Ace
Rillie Shepherd had 1 point and 1 ace
Aislinn Tripp had 1 kill for the night.
Clinton now stands at 4-1 in the LCAA and will battle the Dundee Vikings on Wednesday.
Brailey Gibson and Layana Culver led the team in serve reception with 5 a piece. Setters Annabell Preston and Korynn Allen set up the team’s offensive attacks. Jackie Whiting played a strong offensive game at the net. She registered 4 kills in the game. Tabitha Ureche added another kill at the net, and Finnley Faulkner added a momentum changing big block at the net. Riley Roberts is credited as having a tremendous game as a defensive specialist. The Redwolves are back home on Wednesday, October 6 to face the Dundee Vikings. The team currently stands at 3-2 in the LCAA.
