SUMMERFIELD HIGH SCHOOL: 2
The 8th grade girls volleyball team lost to the Summerfield Bulldogs on Monday, September 16 with scores of 25-11, 16-25, and 18-25. Stella Starnes and Kyleigh Ramos led the scoring with 11 points apiece. Six of Stella's points came from ace serves and 5 of Kyleigh's. Other scoring contributors were Kendall Phillip with 5 points (2 aces), Sammy Starnes with 3 points (1 ace) and Robin Mull, Shaylin VanZandt, and Chloe Drew all contributed 1 point.
Kyleigh Ramos, Bella DesJardins, and Chloe Drew are credited with excellent serve reception. Chloe Drew, Nalani Schanz, Stella Starnes, and Kyleigh Ramos were the team's setters and are credited with numerous saves at the net and from shanked balls. The Redskins next game is at Whiteford on Monday, September 23 @ 5:30 PM. The team is 1-3-2 on the season and 0-2 in the TCC.
