The Middle School Girls Volleyball 7th and 8th Grade Teams traveled to compete today during this homecoming week!  Both teams can out with victory and learning more than they knew before.  

Clinton’s 7th grade volleyball team won all three games against Whitmore Lake on Monday September 24th. Scores were 25-16, 25-15, and 25-17. Nalani Schanz led the team with 9 aces followed closely by Becca Ureche and Stella Starnes with 8 aces each. Summer Chandler had one kill. Robin Mull and Lizzie Peck got their first career aces! A great team effort!

The 8th grade girls volleyball team played next and also beat the Whitmore Lake Trojans on Monday, September 24.  With scores of 25-21, 9-25, and 25-18.  Emma Fair led the team in serving with 8 points and 6 aces. Ava Ormsby contributed 6 points (4 aces), Noelle Riley 3 points (1 ace), Breanna Ramos 3 points (1 ace), Mia Struck 3 points, Sophia Sheneman 2 points (1 ace) and Brynn Frederick 2 points.  

“Overall the girls are transitioning better between plays and setting the ball up for our hitters. We still need to work on serve reception”, said Coach Renee Gilson. Ava Ormsby and Sophia Sheneman both had exceptional back row passing and ball control.  

Emma Fair had a strong game at the net registering 3 kills. Sydney Schuler, Ava Ormsby, Brynn Frederick and Breanna Ramos all added 1 kill apiece. The girls are home on Wednesday, September 26 to face the Whiteford Bobcats. The team is 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in the TCC.
