Monday Night was a great night for a Redwolves’ victory on the gridiron with the JV team pulling off a 22-16 win over the Trojans of Madison. Clinton started quickly with a red zone interception by Clifford Jones and three plays later a 75 yard touchdown run by Dacari Garrison. Madison would respond in the 2nd quarter making the score 8-6. The Redwolves had a great goal line stand late in the 2nd quarter to force the half time score to remain 8-6. Both teams came out of half and stopped the opposing team's opening drives, but Clinton would not be turned away. On their second drive of the second half they were able to march down the field and score a touchdown and two point conversion, both by Clifford Jones, to put them up 14-8. The Redwolves would respond on defense and force a turnover on downs. Their offense was not done yet, on the second play of the drive, fullback Jake Halchishak, would get loose for a 55 yard touchdown run. The 2 point play was good and Clinton found themselves up 22-8. Madison would not go away quietly with a touchdown and 2 point conversion of their own, the scoreboard would get closer, and the Redwolves would be forced to recover an onside kick to seal the game. Well, Clinton’s Tanner Bolton would do just that and after victory formation, the Redwolves were able to walk away with a 22-16 victory.
