Homecoming was a bit different this year. With the stadium lights going out with just under two minutes to go in the second quarter the Redwolves were forced to go into halftime early to allow for the lights to cool down and be able to turn back on.  Meanwhile, the stands were filled with cell phone flashlights that created a concert-like atmosphere.  Everyone worked hard to ensure we could finish the game and made the best of the situation.  Thank you to those that were able to get the lights back on so the team could finish the game.  The Redwolves were able to defeat the Dundee Vikings 54-33 on the night and move their overall record to 5-1 on the season.  The Redwolves were able to rush the ball for 451 yards on 52 attempts.  Dundee was held to 56 yards rushing on 18 attempts.  Clinton was 1 for 5 passing for 7 yards, while Dundee was 15 for 31 with 234 yards.  Offensively for Clinton we had three running backs rush for over 100 yards for the first time in 10 years.  Nik Shadley led all rushers with 143 yards on 13 attempts and a touchdown.  Jake Felts had 133 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown.  Cole Breitenwischer had 111 yards on 14 attempts and 4 touchdowns.  Joey Preston added 57 yards on 4 carries and a touchdown, and Andy Fair had 7 yards on 5 carries.  Two point conversions were made by Nik Shadley on a 3 yard run, Andy Fair on a 3 yard run, Nik Shadley on a pass from Andy Fair, Jake Felts on a 3 yard run, and Cade Brighton on a pass from Andy Fair.

Andy Fair was 1 for 5 passing (excluding the two point conversions) for 7 yards.  Nik Shadley had the lone reception.  Clinton did not punt during the game.  Pancake blocks were earned by Nate Page with 3, Mason Brodie with 2, Pizio, Brighton, and Breitenwischer each with one apiece.

Defensive turnovers were created by Cole Breitenwischer by causing a fumble and recovering it.  Joey Preston had an interception as well.  Sacks were by Teddy Pizio and Wyatt Hicks.  Pass Break Ups were Bryce Randolph with 2 and Brenden Benschoter with 1.  Tackles for losses were by Wyatt Hicks with 4, Jake Felts, Bryce Randolph, and Teddy Pizio with 2 apiece. Bryce Rosacrans had one.  Leading tackler was Joey Preston with 10, Bryce Randolph with 7, and Cole Breitenwischer with 5.

Offensive Player of the Game was Cole Breitenwischer as he rushed for 111 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Defensive Player of the Game was Wyatt Hicks with 4 tackles for a loss and a sack.   Special Teams Player of the Game goes to Cade Brighton with some big tackles on kickoff.  Red Army Player of the Week was Wyatt Federer for always stepping in and being ready.  Captain of the Week is Nate Page for his leadership and helping anchoring down the line.  This week Clinton travels to Onsted on Friday, Oct. 6th at 7pm.  We are looking forward to the opportunity to compete again.
