Clinton Football opened the MHSAA Playoffs at home against Blissfield for their 12th consecutive playoff appearance. Clinton had defeated Blissfield earlier in the season and knew it was going to be tougher the second time around. Cole Breitenwischer opened the scoring for the game as he scored a 1 yard touchdown to put Clinton up 6-0 in the first quarter. Blissfield then started with formations and schemes they had not done year and marched down the field to put one of their own in the endzone. After the extra point kick, Blissfield took the lead 6-7. Something that did not happen in the first meeting with Clinton shutting them out in the first meeting. In the second quarter Wyatt Hicks booted a 29 yard field goal to put Clinton in the lead for good 9-7. After several adjustments Clinton shut the Royals down the rest of the game.
