On Friday, September 22nd played at home for the first time of the year in front of a large crowd on Fall Festival Weekend.  Thank you for all the support as we celebrated and recognized all of our youth football players and coaches.  Having the kids run out of the tunnel and line the stairs for the players was very cool and a tradition I hope we continue.  Clinton battled a tough Blissfield team and came out on top 50-0 for the second week in a row.  After a close first quarter Clinton pulled away in the second by scoring 30 points in the quarter to enter halftime up 30-0.  After halftime Clinton continued to dominate the game with a balanced offensive attack and good defense.  Clinton rushed for 348 yards on 44 attempts and passed for 83 yards on for 431 of offense on the night.  Blissfield was held to 31 yards rushing and 39 yards passing for a total of 70 yards of offense for the game.  Jake Felts led all rushers with 143 yards on 14 attempts and a touchdown.  Joey Preston had 46 yards on 6 attempts and a touchdown.  Nik Shadley had 44 yards on 7 attempts.  Brenden Benschoter had a 45 yard touchdown run on his only rushing attempt.  Cole Breitenwischer had 36 yards on 8 attempts and a touchdown.  Andy Fair had 22 yards on 3 attempts.  Bryce Randolph had 12 yards on 4 attempts and a touchdown.  Clifford Jones, Tanner Bolton, and Macray Connor all had rushing attempts as well.  Andy Fair was 4 of 8 passing for 83 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions.  Cade Brighton had a 30 yard reception.  Nik Shadley had a 28 yard touchdown catch.  Mason Brodie grabbed a pass for 18 yards and Jake Felts picked up a catch for 7 yards.  Wyatt Hicks was 2 for 3 with Extra Point Kicks.  Mason Brodie had one punt for 37 yards.  Leading in pancake blocks were Teddy Pizio with 4, Mason Brodie, Wyatt Hicks,  and Cade Brighton with 2 each.  Jake Felts, Bryce Randolph, and Nate Page each had one pancake block a piece.   

Defensively Clinton had several players with tackles for losses.  Wyatt Hicks and Bryce Randolph each had two tackles for losses, while Felts, Brenden Benschoter, Pizio, Brandon Johnson, and Cole Breitenwischer each had one a piece.  Sacks on the night were from Wyatt Hicks and Tyrus Hayes.  Nik Shadley had a pass break up.  Leading tacklers were Bryce Randolph with 8, Brenden Benschoter with 5, and Joey Preston with 4.  Turnovers were from Brenden Benschoter with a ball strip and return for a touchdown, he also recovered and onside kick.  Joey Preston recovered a kickoff and had an interception.  Randolph had a strip and fumble recovery, and an interception.  Nik Shadley had a ball strip and recovery as well.

Offensive Player of the Game was Jake Felts for his blocks, ball fakes, and leading in rushing.  Defensive Player of the Game was Bryce Randolph for leading the team in tackles, a ball strip and fumble recovery and an interception.  Special Teams Player of the Game was Brenden Benschoter for his ball strip and touchdown return as well as another recovery on kickoff.  Red Army Player of the Week is Jack Gilroy for working hard on both sides of the ball and adjusting on defense for the team.  Captain of the Week is Teddy Pizio for his constant work ethic, and calm demeanor in the face of adversity.  

This week Clinton is hosting the Dundee Vikings for homecoming at Friday, Sept. 29th at 7pm.  Thank you for the support.
