Kuenner Invitational at Addison High School - August 25

The Clinton Redwolves Cross Country teams headed to Addison for the Kuenner Invitational on August 25 where both teams won the Championship Trophies on the day.

The girls won their event with 32 points over second place Onsted who had 53 points. Clinton's top three runners, Cylee Elkins (2nd), Allison Bowles (3rd), and Samantha Coots (5th) all finished ahead of Onsted's second runner and the next three runners, Aurelia Bennett (12th - new personal best time), Sarah King (14th), and Zoey Sierer (17th), all finished ahead of Onsted's fourth and fifth runners to seal the victory. Anna Vincent finishing 29th with a new personal best time, rounded out the medalists in the girls race. Also earning a personal best time was Ruby Faulkner.

The guys won their event with 76 points over second place Columbia Central who had 94 points. The boys were led by medalists Cole Hillegonds who set a new Clinton freshman record of 17:23.42 in finishing 3rd, Gabe Manchester (6th) breaking 18 minutes for the first time in the 5k., Lucas Goodman (10th), and Eric Ramsey (26th). Also earning personal best times for the guys were Ronen Stelzer, Luis Piatt, Jack Morgan, Nic Spicer, Jacob Pizio, Shane Cook, and John Kayser.

The team has an 11 day break until the Hudson Early Season Invitational on September 5 at  5:00
