Clinton Cross Country tried to stay dry this weekend at the Hudson Invite. Thunderstorms caused the middle school meet to be canceled, but high school raced on. Gabe Nelson and Nate Chavez earned medals and the boys took 10th. After a few races and a delay, the girls raced was sunny, hot and humid conditions. Makayla Fletcher and Alissa King earned medals and the girls took 12th. Over 30 teams competed at the Invite. Our next meet is the Lenawee County Championship at Gerber Park on Sat, Oct 13.

Great race onn another really hot day! At the Blissfield Invite, Clinton boys were 3rd and girls were 6th. The following athletes earned medals: Gabe Nelson, Nate Chavez, Eric Briggs, Todd King, Matthew Urbanczyk, Alissa King and Makayla Fletcher. Clinton races in Pittsford on Saturday.

The Clinton Redskins had a great beginning to their league competition. In a close meet, Whitmore Lake boys came away with the win at 41 points while the Clinton boys followed closely behind with 49 points. The Clinton girls were barely edged out for second place by Britton-Deerfield. Coach Hillegonds said, "Kids had a great effort tonight and ran with pride. I'm optimistic about our performance for the upcoming league meets and think that the team will place well overall in the TCC." Great work Clinton!

Another sweltering day running for Clinton High School. After the first day of school, CHS traveled to Hudson for the 4th meet of the season. The team is getting excited as we are seeing times drop and earning A LOT of medals. Earning medals for the boys was Gabe Nelson in 6th, Nate Chavez in 10th, Eric Briggs in 19th, Todd King in 21st, Tomy Burt in 22nd and Matthew Urbanczyk in 23rd and for the girls: Makayla Fletcher in 15th and Alissa King in 16th. Overall, the boys placed 2nd in the meet, earning a second round of medals for the top 8 boys and the girls placed 5th. We next race on Tues at hour first TCC meet 

On Tuesday, eleven cross country teams met to compete at the Stoneco Community Park in Whiteford. Despite the blistering heat, Clinton still managed to take home eight medals. Clinton boys finished 2nd and the girls finished 9th. Clinton next races on Tuesday, Sept 4th, the first day of school.

  A great showing for the Clinton boys and girls at the Burt Cebulski Invitational at Heritage Park in Adrian. With nearly perfect weather, small school Clinton stayed competitive in a big school field. Girls were 7th with 213 points and boys were 5th with 100 points. Leading the way for the boys was freshman Gabe Nelson in 8th with a time of 18:58 followed by Nate Chavez in 13th at 19:26, Eric Briggs in 28th at 20:16, Tommy Burt in 30th at 20:19, Todd King in 32nd at 20:21, Steven Posa in 52nd at 22:14, Matthew Urbanczyk in 60th at 22:47, Brandon Beach in 65th at 23:42, Eric Neff in 71st at 24:02, Daniel Shovels in 75th at 24:59 and Bennet Zbikowski in 82nd in 27:06. Alissa King crossed first for the girls in 28th at 24:21, Makayla Fletcher in 39th at 25:11, Emma Hampel in 60th at 27:40, Bri McNatt in 63rd at 27:54, Mia Hayes in 71st at 29:34, Maya Hillegonds in 72nd at 29:49, Ashley Bouse in 76th at 30:03, Chelsea Scheffler in 78th at 30:16 and Jordan Hurley in 84th at 34:25. Overall Clinton Boys placed 5th with 100 points and the girls placed 8th with 213 points.
