Win: 28 - 14

On Saturday, October 26th, the Clinton JV football finished their season with a victory at Ida. It was a hard fought game between the Redwolves and the Bluestreaks with Clinton earning the win, 28 to 14. Clinton was able to strike first with a touchdown run by Gradyn Whelan and a two point conversion run by Isaac Keibler. The Bluestreaks put together a long drive of their own, but eventually the Redwolves defense would get a stop and force Ida to turn it over on downs. Clinton would take advantage of this and march down the field again scoring off of a touchdown run by Braxton Randolph. On the first play of their following drive, Ida would rip off a long touchdown run and pull within a score. This would not deter the Redwolves, as Whelan would complete a long touchdown pass to Daejaun Garrison, and they would convert the 2 point conversion on a run by Randolph. This would make the halftime score 22 to 6. On the opening drive of the 2nd half Ida would march down the field and score and convert the 2 point conversion making the score 22 to 14. Once again the Redwolves would not be stopped as they marched down the field on a drive of their own, eventually scoring on a Jake Halchishak touchdown run. Clinton would stop an Ida effort to push down the field and score, forcing a turnover on downs and getting the ball back to the offense who was able to run out the remaining of the clock, to make the Redwolves victorious. The Clinton Redwolves JV football team had an incredible season finishing 8 and 1 and not losing a game in conference play.

Win: 37 - 6

Monday night was a terrific night for football as the Clinton Redwolves took down the visiting Tigers of Hudson. Clinton stalled on their first drive at the 23 yard line, but their defense would force a Hudson punt getting the ball back. They would put together a tough, gritty drive that would be capped off by a 3 yard touchdown run by Daejaun Garrison, and a two point conversion by Isaac Keibler, putting the Redwolves up 8 to 0. The Tigers would respond by putting together a drive of their own and eventually scoring on a short touchdown run of their own, but the Redwolves defense would stuff them on their two point try making the score 8 to 6. With a minute and a half left, Clinton would put together a 57 yard drive as time expired to score and make the score 16 to 6. The score on this drive would come from a terrific play and pass by Gradyn Whelan to Paul Blanchard from 35 yards out, and a two point conversion again from Keibler. On the opening kick of the second half, Hudson would muff the kick and the Redwolves’ Garrison would recover it, giving Clinton the ball on the 40 yard line. They would march down the field and score on a 7 yard touchdown run by Braxton Randolph, and the 2 point conversion would be no good, making the score 22 to 6. On the Tigers’ next drive they would throw a backwards pass that would be incomplete and then scooped and scored by Jaxon Phillip, and a two point conversion would be run in by Keibler once more, making the score 30 to 6. The following kickoff would once again be fumbled and this time recovered by Keegan Keith for the Redwolves. Clinton would put together another touchdown drive, this time capped off by a three yard touchdown run by Keibler, and a point after attempt kick from Drew Erickson would split the uprights making the score 37 to 6. The Redwolves’ defense would force another Tiger punt and their offense would run out the clock putting an end to the game with a final score of 37 to 6. The Clinton JV football team has one more game on the road at Ida, this Saturday October 26th at 10 am.

On the next kickoff, Jake Halchishak would cause a fumble and Jonah Hahn would recover it to give the Redwolves offense the ball back again. It would not take long for them to find the endzone, and three plays later Whelan would score on a 19 yard run. The Redwolves defense would cause another fumble and get a big return out of it setting up their offense for another score. This score would come from a 7 yard run by Randolph, and the two point conversion would come on a pass from Whelan to Garrison. After forcing a Hillsdale punt, the Clinton offense would score once more on another Randolph run, this one from 11 yards away, and Erickson would add another point after attempt. After half, Clinton would come out and force a punt and then march down the field and score once more on a pass from Wyatt Cooley to Bryce Martinez from 7 yards out, and Erickson would add another extra point kick. Win: 22 - 16

The stage was set and the weather was perfect last night as the Clinton Redwolves took on the Vikings of Dundee. Clinton struck first with a long touchdown pass from Gradyn Whelan to Daejaun Garrison from 50 yards out, and with a two point conversion from Jake Halchishak, the Redwolves led 8 to 0. The game would be tied after Dundee marched down the field and scored a touchdown and two point conversion of their own making the score 8 to 8. This tie would not last long as Whelan would return the next kickoff to the house and with another two point conversion from Isaac Keibler, the Redwolves would go up 16 to 8. On the Vikings next two drives, Brock Worden would intercept the Dundee quarterback getting the Redwolves the ball back twice. After coming up empty handed on those opportunities, the Redwolves gave up another touchdown and two point conversion allowing the Vikings to tie the game right before halftime. After causing a 3 and out on defense, the Redwolves would get the ball back and march down the field with a gritty drive which was capped off by a short touchdown run by Isaac Keibler, making the score 22 to 16. Clinton’s Lucas Coughlin would recover a Vikings fumble and the Redwolves eat much of the remaining clock before stopping Dundee on their final drive of the game and pulling off the 22 to 16 victory. The Clinton JV football team will be back in action next Monday, October 7th, at 6 pm as they travel to Onsted.

Win: 40 - 0

Last night it was the passing game that helped Clinton’s JV football team get a big victory at home against the Royals of Blissfield. The scoring started quickly with a 46 yard touchdown pass from Gradyn Whelan to Deajaun Garrison, and a two point conversion from Isaac Keibler to put the Redwolves up 8 to 0. After forcing a punt the Redwolves drove down and scored again on another Whelan Garrison connection, this time from 20 yards out putting the score at 14 to 0. After a Keibler interception the Redwolves struck quickly again on another Whelan pass, this time to Jonah Hahn making the score 20 to 0. After forcing a turnover on downs, Clinton was able to march down the field and Garrison found the end zone again, and with a two point conversion pass from Wyatt Cooley, the Redwolves went up 28 to 0. Clinton’s first half scoring was not over yet. After a Garrison interception, the Redwolves marched down the field scoring one more time before half on a 17 yard touchdown pass from Cooley to Hahn making the halftime score 34 to 0. After half, Clinton would cause a three and out, and then march down the field capping off the drive with a short touchdown scamper by Jake Halchishak. The Royals and Redwolves would exchange a couple of drives, but ultimately the Redwolves defense was too much with the Royals not finding the endzone, and making the final to this one 40 to 0. Clinton’s JV football team will be back in action next Monday night, September 30th, at 6 pm, as the Dundee Vikings come to town.

Win: 38 - 6.00

Last night was a great evening for football as the Clinton JV team traveled to Madison and picked up their first win. The Redwolves started quickly when Paul Blanchard recovered a fumble on the third play of the game, and a couple plays later Jaxon Phillip found the end zone on a short scamper. Clinton’s scoring would not be done there. After a long pass from Gradyn Whelan to Phillip, the Redwolves were set up to score again with a tough run from Isaac Keibler, and a two point conversion on a pass from Whelan to Jonah Hahn. Clinton would find the endzone one more time in the first quarter on a 33 yard touchdown pass from Whelan to Deajaun Garrison, and with a good 2 point conversion the Redwolves would go up 22 to 0. This is where the score stayed until halftime. Coming out of half, Clinton would put together a long, gritty drive that would be capped off by another touchdown run by Keibler who would also convert the two point conversion, making the score 30 to 0. Madison would respond with a long touchdown run of their own, but after a great stop they would not convert on the extra point try. The Redwolves scoring was not over for the night, and neither was Keibler as he would rip off another long touchdown run. Wyatt Cooley would run the two point conversion which made the score 38 to 6. This would prove to be the final score with Clinton on top. The Redwolves JV team will be back in action next Monday, September 23rd as they take on the Royals of Blissfield at home, kickoff at 6 pm.
