Varsity Football Loses in District Championship

Lose: 30 - 51

The 2024 football season came to an end on Friday, Nov. 8th in the District Championship at Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central.  The Redwolves finished the season 7-4 overall and qualified for the playoffs for the 13th consecutive year.  Offensively Clinton rushed for 156 yards and passed for 158 yards totaling 314 yards.  SMCC proved to be too much as they scored early and often to go up 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.  The second quarter opened up scoring for both teams and at the half Clinton was down 14-44.  SMCC scored again after halftime and Clinton put two more touchdowns on the board to finish the scoring at SMCC 51 Clinton 30.  Bryce Randolph finished the game with 98 yards rushing and two touchdowns.  Jake Felts had 38 yards rushing and two 2-point conversions.  Gradyn Whelan had 18 yards rushing and a touchdown, and Andy Fair had 17 yards on the ground.  Whelan ended with 12 of 14 passing for 158 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a 2-point conversion to Bryce Randolph.  Andy Fair had 3 receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown.  Jake Felts had 3 receptions for 34 yards.  Dacari Garrison had two receptions for 23 yards and Cade Brighton had two receptions for 23 yards as well.  The following players had a pancake block a piece, Devon Trent, Bryce Randolph, Hamza Rafferty, and Jake Felts.  Offensive Player of the Game was Gradyn Whelan for his offensive production both running and throwing the ball. 

Defensively Jaren Settles recovered a fumble from an onside kickoff.  Tackles for losses were by John Keibler and Bryce Randolph with two a piece.  Landon Lakatos had one tackle for a loss.  Leading tacklers were Bryce Randolph with 8, Jake Felts with 5, John Keibler with 4, Landon Lakatos with 3, and Gradyn Whelan and Wyatt Welch each recorded tackles.  Defensive Player of the Game was Bryce Randolph.  Special Teams Player of the Game was Dacari Garrison and the Red Army Player of the Week was Isaac Keibler.  This concludes another successful year in Clinton Football and we want to thank the seniors for all their contributions and work they put into the program over the years.  Thank you for your support this season.

Varsity Football Defeat State Finalist in Round 1 of the Playoffs

On Friday, Nov 1st the varsity football team hosted the first round of the playoffs against last years state runner up the Whiteford Bobcats.  In a back and forth game Clinton came out on top 38-30.  The opening kickoff was returned by Bryce Randolph who gave the Redwolves great field position to start their first offensive series.  On the first play of the game Randolph broke free behind some great blocking and took the ball down to the 3 yard line.  Two plays later Bryce punched it in from 2 yards out, but the two point conversion failed.  Clinton was up 6-0 early in the first quarter.  Whiteford came right back and put together a drive of their own and scored from 10 yards out, their two point conversion failed to tie the score at 6-6.  Clinton answered back in the first quarter with a 4 yard touchdown run by Jake Felts and the two point conversion failed to leave the score Clinton 12 Whiteford 6 at the end of the first quarter.  In the second quarter Whiteford punched in a touchdown from 5 yards out and converted the two point conversion to put Whiteford ahead 12-14.  Clinton then went to the air on a 10 yard touchdown pass from Gradyn Whelan to Andy Fair.  The two point conversion was good with a pass from Whelan to Dacari Garrison to make the score Clinton 20 Whiteford 14.  One the next possession Gradyn Whelan connected again to Andy Fair and he took it 58 yards for the touchdown.  The two point conversion failed, but the score was Clinton 26 Whiteford 14.  Whiteford put another touchdown in the endzone this time from 3 yards out and converted their two point play to make it Clinton 26 Whiteford 22.  Bryce Randolph scored again, this time from 11 yards out to make the score Clinton 32 Whiteford 22 going into halftime.  After a defensive stop Clinton marched down the field with Gradyn Whelan taking it in from 13 yards out for the touchdown.  The two point conversion failed but the score at the end of the third quarter was Clinton 38 Whiteford 22.  The Bobcats proved to not go away as they scored again from 3 yards out to finish the scoring for the night and Clinton taking the win 38-30.  

Gradyn Whelan stepped in for his first start of his career on offense as a freshman quarterback and came away with 3 for 4 passing for 77 yards, two touchdowns and a two point conversion.  Whelan also ran 8 times for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Bryce Randolph picked up 115 yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns and puts him over 1,000 yard rushing on the season.  Jake Felts ran 19 times for 88 yards and a touchdown.  Andy Fair had 5 carries for 7 yards.  But caught two passes for two touchdowns and 68 yards.  Dacari Garrison caught a two point conversion and had a huge kickoff return.  Jake Felts caught a pass for 9 yards as well.  Clinton ran for 234 yards and passed for 77, for a total of 311 yards of offense.  Pancake blocks were made by Cade Brighton with 3, Wyatt Welch and Jake Felts with 2 apiece.  Jayden Duplessis, Owen Wright, and Bryce Randolph had one pancake block a piece.  Gradyn Whelan was offensive player of the game and showed great poise for a freshman making his first offensive start at quarterback.  Defensively Bryce Randolph had 12 tackles and a pass break up.  Jake Felts had 9 tackles, while Andy Fair and Tanner Bolton had 5 tackles a piece.  Hamza Rafferty had 4 tackles.  Devon Trent, Jaren Settles, and Jayden Duplessis all had three tackles apiece.  Settles also had a tackle for a loss.  Whelan and Cory Hoover had two tackles a piece.  Wyatt Welch, Braxton Randolph, Cade Brighton, Landon Lakatos, and Owen Wright all were in on tackles as well.  Whelan and Dacari Garrison each had a pass break up.  Jake Felts was the defensive player of the game for putting together his best defensive performance of the season.  Bryce Randolph was Special Teams Player of the Game for some big hits and two big kickoff returns.  The Red Army Player of the Week was Lucas Coughlin for his work on defense helping the team get prepared.  

The varsity now advances to the MHSAA District Championship Game at Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central on Friday, Nov. 8th at 7pm.  The game will be played at

Varsity Football Battles Ida

Lose: 14 - 22

On Friday, Oct. 25th the varsity football team hosted the Bluestreaks of Ida.  Clinton lost 14-22 to Ida and finishes the regular season at 6-3 and Ida moves to 8-1 on the year. 

Offensively Andy Fair was 1 for 3 for 10 yards and Gradyn Whelan was 1 for 3 for 21 yards.  Jake Felts was the leading rusher with 64 yards on 16 carries.  Bryce Randolph added 35 yards, Gradyn Whelan added 28 yards on the ground as well.  Cliff Jones had 11 yards on his first carry, but was unable to continue due to injury. Dacari Garrison had a reception for 21 yards and Devon Trent had a reception for 10 yards.  The offensive line was led by Cade Brighton and Hamza Rafferty with 3 pancake blocks each. Jake Felts and Joe Webb each had pancake blocks as well.  The offensive player of the game was offensive tackle Joe Webb as he had his best performance of the year on the line.  On the defensive side of the ball Tanner Bolton had a fumble recovery and three tackles.  Andy Fair had an interception to go along with 5 tackles.  Jake Felts had 8 tackles, Gradyn Whelan had 6 tackles, and Landon Lakatos had 5 tackles and three for a loss.  Devon Trent, Hamza Rafferty, and Wyatt Welch each had 3 tackles a piece.  Others collecting tackles were John Keibler with 2, Cade Brighton and Dacari Garrison with one each.  Bryce Randolph led the team with 19 tackles and 5 tackles for a loss.  Jake Felts also had a pass break up on the night.  The defensive player of the game was Bryce Randolph with 19 tackles and 5 tackles for a loss.  The special teams player of the game was Gradyn Whelan with a huge kick return.  The red army player of the week is Grant Kutzley for his play of the offensive line getting the varsity ready.  

The team has qualified for the MHSAA playoffs again.  The team got together for the live selection Sunday show to eat a team meal and discover who they will see first round.  The Redwolves will be hosting Whiteford on Friday, Nov. 1st at 7pm in the opening round of the playoffs.  Thank you to all the parents that have helped with team meals, food and drinks after the away games, and helping with the Wolf head/tunnel set up and tear down this year.  

Varsity Football Drops Away Game

Lose: 6 - 22

On Friday the Clinton Varsity Football Team traveled to Hudson and lost 6-22.  This snapped a 24 LCAA winning streak for Clinton.  The team battled the entire game but was unable to convert on 4th and goal from the one yard line twice and allowed two big plays on defense that decided the game.  I was proud of our effort as a team and I look forward to building off that against Ida.  Offensively Bryce Randolph led the team in rushing with 69 yards and added another 21 yards receiving.  Andy Fair was 3 for 9 passing for 31 yards and one interception.  Jake Felts had 42 yards rushing and a touchdown from 11 yards out.  Cliff Jones picked up six yards on the ground.  Dacari Garrison had a reception for 10 yards.  Pancake blocks were from Cade Brighton with two, Owen Wright and Cliff Jones had one apiece.  Offensive Player of the Game was Bryce Randolph.  Defensively tackles for losses were from Bryce Randolph and Cliff Jones with 3 a piece.  John Keibler and Jake Felts each had two a piece.  Landon Lakatos, Cade Brighton, Andy Fair, Devon Trent, and Tanner Bolton all had one tackle for a loss a piece.  Bryce Randolph led the team with 15 tackles, Andy Fair had 10, Jack Felts had 7, John Keibler and Landon Lakatos each had 5 tackles a piece.  Cade Brighton had 4 tackles.  The Defensive Player of the Game was John Keibler for stepping and playing great from his defensive end position.  The Special Teams Player of the Game was Wyatt Welch for his excellent kicking all night.  The Redwolf Player of the Week was Jake Halchishak for stepping in and helping prepare the team.  The last home game of the year is Friday, Oct. 25th at 7pm against Ida.  This will be senior night and we will honor the senior prior to the game at 6:30pm.  

Varsity Football Improves to 6-1

Win: 22 - 12

The Varsity Football Team traveled to Hillsdale and came away with a 22-12 win in LCAA action.  Clinton rushed for 227 yards on the night and passed for another 95 yards for a total of 322 yards on the night.  Clinton held Hillsdale to 53 yards rushing, but gave up 163 passing yards.  Opening the scoring was Dacari Garrison on a 36 yard reception from Andy Fair for a touchdown after breaking several tackles.  Andy Fair connected with Cade Brighton for the two point conversion to make it 8-0 Clinton.  Hillsdale came back and scored on a 10 yard pass in the second quarter, but the conversion failed.  In the third quarter Clinton seemed to tighten things up as Andy Fair ran in for an 8 yard score.  Cliff Jones added the two point conversion.  In the fourth quarter Jake Felts found the endzone from 5 yards out and the two point conversion was stopped.  Hillsdale scored on a 62 yard pass in the fourth quarter to finish the scoring and making the final Clinton 22 Hillsdale 12.  Jake Felts was the leading rusher with 80 yards and a touchdown.  Bryce Randolph added 77 yards on the ground.  Cliff Jones picked up 63 yards on the ground and another 59 yards through the air in receiving.  Andy Fair added 16 yards on the ground, and Devon Trent added to the ground game as well.  Andy Fair was 6 out of 10 for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Cliff Jones was the leading receiver with 59 and Dacari Garrison had 36 yards receiving.  Pancake blocks were led by Cade Brighton with 3, Jayden Duplessis, Owen Wright, Wyatt Welch, and Joe Webb all had one a piece.  The Offensive Player of the Game was Cliff Jones for his rushing and receiving all game.  D

Defensively Jaren Settles had a fumble recovery.  Tackles for a loss were by Bryce Randolph with 3, Jake Felts with 2, Landon Lakatos, Tanner Bolton, and Wyatt Welch all had one a piece.  Pass break ups were by Wyatt Welch and Andy Fair.  Leading tacklers were Bryce Randolph with 6, Jake Felts with 5, Andy Fair and Tanner Bolton with 4 each.  Jaren Settles had 3 tackles, Devon Trent had 2, and others with tackles were Cliff Jones, Donnie Kline, Landon Lakatos, Keegan Keith, Will Hawkins, and Wyatt Welch.  The Defensive Player of the Game was Andy Fair.  The Special Teams Player of the Game was Cory Hoover.  The Red Army Player of the Game was Wyatt Welch for being the ultimate team player and playing multiple positions on offense to help the team and playing well on defense.  This Friday, Oct. 18th Clinton travels to Hudson for an LCAA showdown at 7pm.  

Varsity Football Moves to 5-1 After Homecoming Win

Win: 32 - 28

The varsity football team was able to overcome adversity on Friday night and came away with a thrilling 32-28 win to move their overall record to 5-1 on the year.  Clinton put together 329 yards of offense behind Andy Fairs 3 of 5 passing for 77 yards and another 252 yards in rushing.  Clinton scored in the second quarter off an Andy Fair pass to Bryce Randolph for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Jake Felts followed that up with a 2 point conversion.  Jake Felts scored on a 9 yard run and Clinton again converted the 2 point play.  Coming out of halftime Clinton showed some grit and Bryce Randolph rumbled in from 14 yards out and a touchdown.  Randolph punched in the two point conversion after as well.  Randolph found the endzone again for his third touchdown of the night, this time from 4 yards out and again pushed in the two point conversion.  Offense was led by Bryce Randolph with 131 yards rushing and 47 yards receiving with three touchdowns and two 2 point conversions.  Jake Felts had 74 yards rushing and a touchdown.  Cliff Jones had 56 yards rushing as well.  Cade Brighton and Cliff Jones each had a reception for the Redwolves as well.  Pancake blocks were by Cade Brighton with 3 and Jayden Duplessis with 2.  Joe Webb, Jake Felts, and Owen Wright had one a piece.  The offensive player of the game was Andy Fair for his excellent leadership, and big plays made during the game.  Defensively Cade Brighton had two pass break ups and Andy Fair had one.  Tackles for a loss were by Cliff Jones, Tanner Bolton, and Bryce Randolph with one a piece.  Leading the defense in tackles was Bryce Randolph with 13 tackles.  Gradyn Whelan and Devon Trent had four tackles apiece.   Tanner Bolton and Cade Brighton had three tackles a piece.   Making key stops on defense were Cliff Jones, Jake Felts, Jayden Duplessis, Landon Lakatos, and Donnie Kline.  Defensive player of the game was Bryce Randolph with 13 tackles, 1 for a loss.  Special Teams Player of the Game goes to Cade Brighton for excellent long snapping, great play of offense and defense as well.  The Red Army Player of the Week goes to Landon Lakatos for his play at nose tackle all week.  On Friday, Oct. 11th Clinton Travels to Hillsdale for another LCAA showdown.  We are looking forward to the opportunity to compete and improve.  

Varsity Football Improves to 4-1 with Win over Dundee

Win: 38 - 16

The varsity football team defeated Dundee 38-16 on Friday night at Dundee.  Clinton racked up 390 rushing yards on a very windy night.  Dundee passed for 68 yards and rushed for 108 yards on the night.  The second half saw the Redwolves come out and take control of the game on both sides of the ball.  Cliff Jones opened up the scoring with a 2 yard run for a touchdown, followed by a two point conversion catch by Cade Brighton on his birthday from Andy Fair.  Later in the first quarter Bryce Randolph punched in a touchdown from 1 yard out followed by another 2 point conversion, this time by Andy Fair on the run.  In the second quarter Bryce Randolph scored on a 13 yard run and Jake Felts ran in the 2 point conversion.  In the third quarter Jake Felts ran in for a touchdown from 3 yards out followed by Cliff Jones's 2 point conversion.  Later in the third quarter Andy Fair had a 27 yard run for a touchdown but the 2 point conversion was stopped.  Bryce Randolph had 178 yards and two touchdowns on the night rushing.  Andy Fair had 72 yards rushing with a TD.  Cliff Jones had 53 yards rushing with a TD.  Jake Felts had 43 yards on 7 carries and a TD.  Devon Trent had 33 yards on 7 carries.  Cory Hoover had 10 yards on the night rushing and Dacari Garrison and Gradyn Whelan both had carries on the night.  Blocking on the night saw several players earn pancake blocks with Cade Brighton leading the way with four pancakes of his own.  Owen Wright, Will Hawkins, and Joe Webb each had a pancake block on the night.  Our offensive player of the game was Andy Fair for reaching a season high 72 yards rushing from quarterback.  Defensively the leading tacklers were Bryce Randolph with 6 tackles, Jake Felts with 5, Gradyn Whelan, Andy Fair, and Cliff Jones each had four tackles.  Jayden Duplessis and Cade Brighton had 3 tackles a piece.  Other players with tackles on the night were Landon Lakatos(2), Devon Trent(2), Dacari Garrison(2), Donnie Kline and Owen Wright with a tackle a piece.  Owen Wright picked up a sack on defense as well.  Tackles for a loss were from Bryce Randolph with two, Donnie Kline, Cade Brighton, and Landon Lakatos each had one tackle for a loss a piece.  Pass Break ups were from Dacari Garrison and Gradyn Whelan.  Devon Trent has another interception and Dacari Garrison forced a fumble and Cory Hoover recovered the fumble.  The Defensive Player of the Game was Donnie Kline as he came in at Defensive Tackle and player well during the second half.  Special Teams Player of the Game was Dacari Garrison as he forced a fumble and played well.  The Red Army Player of the Week was Jake Halchishak for playing well all week.  

This Friday is Homecoming as the Redwolves host the Wildcats of Onsted.  

Varsity Football Defeats Blissfield

Win: 8 - 0

On Friday, September 20th the varsity football team traveled to Blissfield and posted a shut out 8-0.  It was battle back and forth that saw several Clinton offensive drives stall due to penalties.  Clinton had 65 offensive plays, while holding Blissfield to only 33 total plays.  Clinton rushed for 189 yards and passed for 67 yards for a total of 256 yards of offense.  Blissfield rushed for 138 yards and had -7 yards passing for a total of 131 yards of offense.  Andy Fair was 6 for 12 passing for 67 yards.  Bryce Randolph plunged in from 3 yards out for Clinton's only touchdown, followed by Devon Trent's 2 point conversion run in the second quarter.  Bryce Randolph had 97 yards rushing on 24 carries, Devon Trent had 54 yards on 8 carries.  Cliff Jones had 36 yards on 9 carries.  Andy Fair had 15 yards on 4 carries.  Dacari Garrison had two yards on 2 carries.  Cliff Jones caught 3 passes for 35 yards.  Devon Trent caught a pass for 16 yards, while Bryce Randolph caught a pass for 12 yards, and Dacari Garrison caught a pass for 4 yards.  Cade Brighton had three pancake blocks on the night and Bryce Randolph had two pancake blocks.

Defensively Bryce Randolph had 9 tackles and three more for a loss.  Gradyn Whelan had 9 tackles and two tackles for a loss.  Cade Brighton had 4 tackles and another for a loss.  Cliff Jones had two tackles and another for a loss.  Landon Lakatos had four tackles on the night and Jayden Duplessis had 3 tackles on the night. Andy Fair had a big interception for the Redwolves as well. Devon Trent and Bryce Randolph each had pass break ups on defense.  

The offensive player of the game was Devon Trent who ran the ball well and caught a critical pass, as well as scoring a two point conversion.  The defensive player of the game was Gradyn Whelan who recorded 9 tackles and two tackles for a loss.  Special teams player of the game was Dacari Garrison for a great opening return and play on special teams.  The red army player of the week was David Johnson for his work on the defensive line to help the varsity prepare all week.  

The varsity will travel to Dundee on Friday, Sept. 27th at 7 pm to face the Vikings for another LCAA contest.

The varsity football team hosted the Madison Trojans on Friday, September 13th.  The crowd was large as the Clinton Youth Football players and coaches were recognized on the night as well.  Thank you to all the players and coaches for coming out and supporting the team.  It was great to see so many Clinton Football Jersey's.  The running game rolled to 314 yards on the night and added another 65 yards passing for a total of 379 yards of offense.  Madison was held to 34 passing yards and 71 rushing yards for 105 yards of total offense.  On offense Andy Fair was 3 for 4 passing for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Dacari Garrison had two receptions for 47 yards, but had a 39 yard touchdown grab.  Cliff Jones had a catch for 18 yards as well.  Bryce Randolph was the leading rusher with 181 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown.  Cliff Jones added 56 yards on 5 carries and two touchdowns, Jake Felts had 41 yards on 6 carries.  Devin Trent had 19 yards on 4 carries.  Cory Hoover had 19 yards on 4 carries, Gradyn Whelan had 9 yards on 2 carries.  Dacari Garrison had 3 yards on 3 carries.  Braxton Randolph had 2 yards on one carry.  Landon Lakatos had 1 yard on 1 carry.  Max Delphy added another yard with one carry.  Bryce Randolph had 12 tackles on the night and collected three tackles for a loss.  Gradyn Whelan picked up 6 tackles.  Jayden Duplessis had 5 tackles with one for a loss. Cade Brighton had 4 tackles with one for a loss. Dacari Garrison had 3 tackles and a pass break up.  Cliff Jones had two tackles for a loss. Hamza Rafferty had two tackles for a loss.  Jake Felts had two tackles and one for a loss.  Andy Fair, Braxton Randolph, Landon Lakatos, Wyatt Welch, and Donnie Kline were all in on tackles as well.  Devon Trent had a tackle and a huge interception on the night.  

This Friday the team travels to Blissfield Friday, Sept. 20th at 7pm for their first road game of the year.  

Varsity Football Defeats Detroit Central 22-12

Win: 22 - 12

The Varsity Football Team defeated Detroit Central 22-12 on Friday.   The redwolves took the entire first quarter up by putting together an 18 play drive that was capped off with a 20 yard touchdown pass from Andy Fair to Cade Brighton.  The two point conversion was punched in by Bryce Randolph and the offensive line.  In the second quarter Clinton threw and interception that was returned for a touchdown right before halftime to make the score 8-6 Clinton going into the half.  In the third quarter Jake Felts punched in it the end zone from 3 yards out, but the two point conversion was stopped.  Clinton stretched their lead to 14-6 to end the third quarter.  In the fourth quarter Clinton crossed the goal line again with a one yard run by Bryce Randolph and Jake Felts converting on the two point conversion.  To make it 22-6.  Central converted on a 33 yard pass for a touchdown to make the final score Clinton 22 Central 12.  

Clinton finished the game with 261 yards rushing and 27 yards passing. Central finished with 58 rushing yards and 120 passing yards.  Jake Felts was the leading rusher for Clinton with 122 yards on the ground on 22 carries. Bryce Randolph had 64 yards on 14 carries.  Cliff Jones had 63 yards on 11 carries.  Cade Brighton had 1 catch for 20 yards and Jake Felts had a catch for 7 yards.  Andy Fair was 2 for 5 passing for 27 yards, a touchdown and an interception.  Bryce Randolph led the team in tackles with 6, Jake Felts had 5, Tanner Bolton had 4.  Landon Lakatos had a fumble recovery.  Andy Fair and Gradyn Whelan each had a pass breakup.  Cade Brighton had a sack.  Bryce Randolph and Tanner Bolton each had two tackles for a loss, while Cade Brighton, Hamza Rafferty, and Cliff Jones each had one tackle for a loss a piece.   

The offensive player of the game was Jake Felts with 122 yards rushing, a 7 yard reception, a touchdown, and a two point conversion.  The defensive player of the game was Tanner Bolton with great play on the edge.  Special Teams Player of the Game was Wyatt Welch with great kicking.  The Red Army Player of the Week was Cory Hoover with a great catch on kickoff return and excellent play during the week.  This Friday, Sept. 13th the Redwolves start LCAA action as they host Adrian Madison at 7pm at Wegner Stadium.  

Varsity Football Opens Season at Home

On Thursday, Aug. 29th the varsity football team hosted Monroe St. Mary's Catholic Central in a battle of playoff contenders from last season.  The Redwolves dropped the contest 14-22 in a hard fought battle.  With a couple of starters out and having to replace many positions due to graduation, the young redwolves gained valuable experience that will pay off as the season progresses.  Clinton ran the ball 56 times for 225 yards on the ground and SMCC ran 36 times for 203 yards on the ground.  Andy Fair was 6 for 9 passing for another 42 yards.  SMCC was 2 for 4 passing for 43 yards.  Overall Clinton out gained SMCC with 267 yards of offense to SMCC's 246 yards of offense.  Several players had to play multiple positions due to come cramping and injury.  Junior Bryce Randolph led the rushing attack with 129 yards on 22 carries.  Jake Felts had 28 yards on 8 carries.  Cliff Jones was moved from tight end to running back late in the game and gave the offense some spark, as he rushed for 16 yards on 3 carries.  Tanner Bolton had one carry for 1 yard. Devin Trent, Andy Fair, and Darcari Garrison each had carries from the backfield as well.  Receiving leader was Cliff Jones with three catches for 18 yards.  Devin Trent caught a pass for 13 yards, Jake Felts had a catch for 7 yards, and senior tight end Cade Brighton had a catch for 4 yards.  On defense Bryce Randolph had 12 tackles and another for a loss.  Andy Fair had four tackles, Jack Felts had 5 tackles, Hamza Rafferty had 3 tackles.  And Cade Brighton had three tackles, including a tackle for a loss. 

Special Teams Player of the Game was Wyatt Welch for stepping in and doing a great job punting and kicking off when needed.  Player of the Game on Offense was Cliff Jones for his work at tight end and stepping in late in the game at running back and helping spark the team.  Defensive Player of the Game was Bryce Randolph for leading the team with 12 tackles and a tackle for loss.  Red Army Player of the Week was Owen Wright for stepping in and helping give the varsity a good look during the week.  

Captains this year are Andy Fair, Jake Felts, Cade Brighton, and Bryce Randolph.  This was a game against two highly ranked teams that proved to be a great high school football game.  Looking to next week, Clinton will host Detroit Central who was  playoff team last year as well.  The game will be at Wegner Field Friday, Sept. 6th at 7pm.
