On Friday the Clinton Varsity Football Team traveled to Hudson and lost 6-22. This snapped a 24 LCAA winning streak for Clinton. The team battled the entire game but was unable to convert on 4th and goal from the one yard line twice and allowed two big plays on defense that decided the game. I was proud of our effort as a team and I look forward to building off that against Ida. Offensively Bryce Randolph led the team in rushing with 69 yards and added another 21 yards receiving. Andy Fair was 3 for 9 passing for 31 yards and one interception. Jake Felts had 42 yards rushing and a touchdown from 11 yards out. Cliff Jones picked up six yards on the ground. Dacari Garrison had a reception for 10 yards. Pancake blocks were from Cade Brighton with two, Owen Wright and Cliff Jones had one apiece. Offensive Player of the Game was Bryce Randolph. Defensively tackles for losses were from Bryce Randolph and Cliff Jones with 3 a piece. John Keibler and Jake Felts each had two a piece. Landon Lakatos, Cade Brighton, Andy Fair, Devon Trent, and Tanner Bolton all had one tackle for a loss a piece. Bryce Randolph led the team with 15 tackles, Andy Fair had 10, Jack Felts had 7, John Keibler and Landon Lakatos each had 5 tackles a piece. Cade Brighton had 4 tackles. The Defensive Player of the Game was John Keibler for stepping and playing great from his defensive end position. The Special Teams Player of the Game was Wyatt Welch for his excellent kicking all night. The Redwolf Player of the Week was Jake Halchishak for stepping in and helping prepare the team. The last home game of the year is Friday, Oct. 25th at 7pm against Ida. This will be senior night and we will honor the senior prior to the game at 6:30pm.
