The Clinton Varsity Golf Team traveled to Bedford Valley GC (home of Division IV State Finals) f, althor their first tournament of the season. The girls did well, especially when the majority of the team was brand n neew to Varsity golf. "The girls did well, however with these girls and the competitive will they have I know that they were not happy with their scores, although they had only been practicing a week. Brenna Broman and Raven Aldridge brand new to the program have been working hard and are two of our BRAND new golfers this year and we are super excited to have them be a part of our program, because I know they will help us make a run in the the post season. They will have all season to get better, but it's going to be a bumpy ride before it starts to get better scoring wise for them. But man do they work hard!! Kiera Fivenson another younger golfer who played just a little for us last year, played well and is giong to be counted on to be a consisitent player for us. Kaylie Livingston is a solid player, who will just need to hit her stride this season. The anchor of the team will be Kyleigh Ramos who will look to climb up the leader board at Stat Finals, after finishing 23rd last year year she has her sights set on a lot better finish this year. Well, at Bedford the girls fired a team total 472. Kyleigh was able to finish in 3rd out of 108 golfers with a +7, 79. Kierra Fivenson shot a 119, Brenna Broman 136, Kaylie Livingston 138 and Raven Alsdridge 150. The team finished in 19th position out of 20 teams. Guranteed these girls will get back after it at practice!! They will be in action again this Friday at the Parma Western Invite, at Arbor Hills GC (Jackson) and then on Monday at Tecumseh Invite held at the Tecumseh GC.
