Clinton wins game 1 of Districts against Grasslake 7-0. Renee Hoffman was the winning pitcher, throwing a NO HITTER with 16 strikeouts.
Rilee Szczesniak went 4-4 with an RBI. Sam Renaldi was 2-2, while Libbi Fair added a 3 RBI double. Payton Hernandez and Hoffman added an RBI single.
Clinton wins game 2 against Onsted 1-0. Renee Hoffman was the winning pitcher, allowing just 2 hits with 18 strikeouts.
Clinton gathered 4 hits in 7 innings, and their sole run game in the top of the 7th. Libbi Fair walked, was bunted to second by Payton Hernandez, and was hit home on a Sydney Amdsill single. Mackenzie Amsdill followed with a base hit.
Clinton wins their 13th straight district title. Clinton will host Regionals next Saturday.
