Clinton Redwolves Boys Cross Country Team recognized for their continued surprising runs at Regionals. All athletes had season bests and beat the predicted 6th place ranking to finish 3rd at Regionals.

The Redwolves Cross Country team competed in the LCAA championships at Hudson High School today with the boys finishing second at the meet, finishing third in the overall season standings. Gabe Manchester finished 5th on the day to earn First Team honors and Eric Ramsey finished 10th to earn Second Team honors. Ella Claus also earned Second Team honors on the day while finishing 9th in the girls race.
Manchester finished with a season best time of 17:16.77 as did Ramsey with a time of 17:59.07. Most of the rest of the squad also finished with personal or season best times to help them get to the second position. Austin Strand (15th – 18:25.27, PB), Zach Taylor (18th – 18:44.33, PB), Ronan Stelzer (29th – 19:56.04, SB) finished out the scoring, while Jacob Pizio (30th – 19:56.64), Peter Baker (20:54.80), Hudson Miller (20:58.47) and Aidan Grimm (21:53.88) also finished with personal best times.
On the girls side, Claus became the fourth fastest freshman girl in Clinton Cross Country history in running a personal best time of 21:16.99. Sarah King finished with a season best time, and Ryan Handy also earned a personal best time of 25:57.63.
The Redwolves next race at Willow Metropark for the MHSAA Region 27 Championship on October 26. The boys will race at 10:00 and the girls will race at 10:45.
