Ready to play golf at the first Annual Lady Redwolves Invite

The Lady Redwolves welcomed 11 teams to their first annual Lady Redwolves Invite today at Rustic Glen GC. The field had some very quality teams entered and although the weather was not the greatest, the tournament ran very smooth. "Our girls played better than they did on Thursday this week, is what you want to see, as they lowered their team score by 50 strokes and there is still room for improvement, the girls would agree with that. I just love how they continue to work at bringing those scores down where they know they should be for them. We will continue to work hard and have fun. We next play Wednesday the 11th at Madison for LCAA #3 and then head to Perry on Friday the 13th for our next eighteen hole event." commented Coach Ramos. Kaylie Livingston continued her excellent play with a solid 92 on the day and finished 7th/52 golfers today, good for a top 10 medal today. The other golfers contributing to the team score today were Jr Brenna Broman, Jr Kierra Fivenson, Sr Raven Aldridge and So Annabelle Howard who shot her PB 18 hole round, as this was her first 18 hole event in her HS career, congrats.

Kaylie Livingston, T6th/70, at Parma Western Invite

The Lady Redwolves traveled to the Parma Western Invite held at Arbor Hills GC (Jackson) for their first 18 Hole tournament. While the team didn't play well overall, Kaylie LIvingston shot a PB HS score for 18 Holes by shooting a very solid 91, which earned her a Top 10 Medal in the tournament field of 70 golfers. "Well, we didn't get the ball to the greens and into the cups very well today. It was our first 18 hole tournament and I wasn't sure how we would play, but we hit some quality shots, but just not as often as we would have liked to score better. We are hosting the 1st Annual Lady Redwolves Invite this Saturday September 7th with eleven teams coming to compete and then we are at Madison LCAA #3 Jamboree next Wednesday. Hope to see some family and friends at the course this Saturday." stated Coach Ramos.

2024 Lady Redwoves Golf Team

Annabelle Howard, Brenna Broman, Kierra Fivenson, Kaylie Livingston, Raven Aldridge and Meghan Gilroy

The Lady Redwolves opened LCAA play tonight looking to defend their title they won for the first time in LCAA history and they got off to a good start at a tough track on a blistering day for all. The team traveled to Baws Bees Country Club, a 9 hole course in Hillsdale, with its very steep hills and undulating greens it was a big test for the girls righ out of the gate and we did well as we had three of our top 4 scores in the 50's and our fourth counting score just crept over the 60 mark. "Really proud of the girls as this was our first real chance to get out and play a competitive round against others and see what we got. They did fine, obviously they saw things in their games that they want to concentrate on before our next 9 Hole Jamboree at Hudson next Wednesday. So we will work on those this week and hope to continue to keep our team score dwindling, so we are peaking at the end of the season," stated Coach Ramos. Leading the way for the Redwolves tonight was Sr Kaylie Livingston's 52 good for 2nd, then close behind her was Brenna Broman with a solid 53 finishing 3rd, next was Kierra Fivenson with a good score of 57, taking the 5th spot and rounding out the TEAM scoring was Freshman Meghan Gilroy with her PB 9 Hole HS round of 63, good for 9th overall. Also golfing today were Raven Aldridge and Annabelle Howard.

theThe Lady Redwolves golf team opened up their season today at the East Jackson scramble, held at Lakeland Hills GC (Jackson) today with a total of 15 teams coming and playing. The event was shortened to as many holes the teams could get in before 2:00, due to weather. After that, the teams were instructed to add their 9 best holes, score wise. The teams for us were Kaylie Livingston and Brenna Broman, Kierra Fivenson and Meghan Gilroy and the last group was Raven Aldridge and Annabelle Howard. Do not know where we finished overall, but having two brand new golfers, it was just a great opportunity for them to get their feet wet, so to speak. We open league play on the first day of school at Hillsdale. Very excited for the season!!!!
