Girls Middle School Volleyball vs. Multiple Opponents

The 7th grade volleyball team traveled to Dundee on Saturday for their end of the season LCAA Tournament. The Lady Redwolves took 1st place, raising their undefeated record to 13-0! During the tournament, they beat Hillsdale 25-5/25-4, Dundee 25-6/25-2, and Ida 25-7/25-11. The team excelled in serving throughout the day, with Melanie Lukas leading with 29pts(21 aces), followed by Abby Sheneman 18pts(12 aces) and Lila Kennedy 16pts(6 aces). Emily Farmer led the offense with 13 assists while Molly Sierer recorded 10 kills, followed by Erin Burton and Rylee Pepper with 5 each. Mya Popkey, Josie Kranz, and Lexi Tzortzinis played very solid defense and handled serve receive with confidence. Congratulations on being LCAA Champs!

They beat Blissfield 25-9/25-20, Dundee 25-5/25-11, and Onsted 25-12/25-14. They kept their momentum throughout the day and fought until the end. Ashlynn had 40 points with 18 aces, Avery had 18 points with 9 aces, Calli and Kylinn had 12 points with Calli having 6 aces and Kylinn having 4, Abby M and Kaylin both had 10 points with Abby having 5 aces and Kaylin having 3, Rillie had 4 points and 1 ace. Zoey, Bella and Aby U. played incredibly well and anticipated their opponents moves at all times! Great job Clinton 8th grade! Undefeated AND LCAA champs!

The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams wrapped up their regular season last night in Onsted. Both teams earned wins, bringing both of their records to 10-0. Congratulations on your undefeated seasons!
The 7th grade swept the Wildcats, winning all 3 sets: 25-8, 25-21, 25-9. Every member of the team contributed to the win. Harper Ulrich, Adella Kline, Alicianna Freebarin, and Teegan Vanatti played solid defense in the back row. With great passes from Lexi Tzortzinis, Joslyn Kranz, and Mya Popkey our front row was able to be aggressive at the net with on target sets from Emily Farmer, Lila Kennedy, and Melanie Lukas. Erin Burton, Rylee Pepper, Abby Sheneman, Sunny Sachin, Molly Sierer, and Kali Jarrell all had kills. Leading scorers were: Molly Sierer 10pts(8 aces) and Alicianna Freebarin 7pts(6 aces).
Wow! What a great season. The 8th grade traveled to Onsted and took home their 10th win. They stayed in the game and continued to fight the entire time. The team won all three sets with scores of 24-26, 22-25, and 20-25. Scoring leaders were: Avery with 13 points and 1 ace, Ashlynn with 9 points, Abby M. with 4 points and 2 aces, and Kaylin had 3 points. Many others scored, had great tips, hits, and passes. Way to go 8th graders!

The 7th grade volleyball team traveled to Ida on 10/17 and extended their winning streak to 9 straight games. The back row was unstoppable against some very tough hits from Ida. Mya Popkey, Joslyn Kranz, Madison Hardcastle, and Emily Farmer led the charge. Our offense made it very difficult for the Bluestreaks to earn a sideout. At the net, Molly Sierer, Abby Sheneman, Lauryn McDonagh, and Erin Burton each had great plays. Our point leaders for the game were: Erin Burton 9pts(6 aces), Abby Sheneman 9 pts(4 aces), and Melanie Lukas 9pts(6 aces). Molly Sierer and Lila Kennedy contributed 5 pts a piece. The Redwolves will travel to Onsted for their last regular season game.
The 8th grade fought a tough Ida team. They brought home the win in the end. They continued to fight and help teach each other along the way. The scores were 12-25, 25-23, and 25-16. Scoring leaders were: Kaylin with 8 points and 4 aces, Kylinn and Ashlynn both had 7 points with Ash having 4 aces and Kylinn having 3, Avery had 4 points with 2 aces and Calli had 3 points with 1 ace. They travel to Onsted on Wednesday. Let’s go Redwolves!

On Wednesday, the Redwolves traveled to Blissfield and came away with a sweep, winning all three sets! This win brings their record to 8-0. It was a team effort with great passing, serving, and attacking at the net. Harper Ulrich and Lexi Tzortzinis led the team on defense, while Sunny Sachin and Melanie Lukas made smart plays at the net. Leading scorers for the team were: Erin Burton 9pts (6aces), Josie Kranz 9pts (3 aces), and Emily Farmer 8pts (3 aces). The team will wrap up their season next week with Ida, Onsted, and their League Tournament in Dundee.
The 8th great traveled to Blissfield and played a good Blissfield team! They maintain their drive and desire to do their best. There were many girls who played an important role in achieving another win. The scores were 25-21, 25-19, and 20-25. Calli and Ashlynn both had 9 points with Calli having 7 aces and Ashlynn having 5, Avery had 7 points and 2 aces, Kaylin had 5 points with 1 ace, Aby U. had 4 points with 3 aces and Tiana had 2 points with 1 ace. Great job 8th grade! They travel to Ida on Monday.

The 7th grade volleyball team extended their winning streak to 7 last night against the Hudson Tigers. They took all three sets: 25-19, 25-11, 25-14. The team is growing in their ability to communicate on the court and be aggressive at the net. Rylee Pepper and Molly Sierer had some great offensive plays and Lexi Tzortizinis and Madison Hardcastle took control on defense. Top scorers for the night were: Melanie Lukas 19 points(19 aces), Lila Kennedy 13 points(9 aces), and Mya Popkey and Joanna Bonnica with 5 points each. Way to go Redwolves!!!
The 8th grade brought a great amount of pride to the Pink Out game, playing for those they love! They were solid on the floor working to help and encourage others. They fought hard and took all three sets. The scores were 25-12, 25-21, and 25-19. Scoring leaders were: Avery with 9 points and 6 aces, Calli with 8 points and 8 aces, Abby M. with 6 points and 5 aces, Bella and Ashlynn both had 4 points with 2 aces each.

The Clinton 7th grade traveled to Dundee on Wednesday night and came away with the win, 2 sets to 1. It was a team effort, with all players contributing. Abby Sheneman led the charge from the serving line with 17pts! Her serving percentage for the night was 100%. Outstanding job Abby! Kali Jarrell was second in points with 10. Harper Ulrich played with confidence and kept her composure in the back row making great passes to our setter. Our next game is our Pink Out game at home on Monday. Come out to support the team and a great cause!
The 8th grade played well against Dundee. They fought hard and were explosive as a team talking on the court and off. Strong serves helped them to take all 3 sets. The scores were 25-21, 25-18, and 25-13. Ashlynn had 12 points with 4 aces, Kylinn had 10 points with 8 aces, Avery had 7 points with 3 aces, and Rillie had 5 points. Many of the girls made their mark with points, bumps, and hits. They take on Husdon on Monday for our Pink Out game. Way to go Redwolves!

The 7th grade volleyball team maintained their undefeated record by beating Ida in three sets on Wednesday. They took the 3rd set by keeping their composure and setting up their hitters in the front row. The excitement and encouragement from the bench was also key to the win! Leading scorers were Rylee Pepper 9pts(6 aces), Melanie Lukas 9 pts, Lila Kennedy 8pts(6 aces), and Josie Kranz with 5pts.
The 8th grade volleyball team played well against a tough Ida team. They won all 3 sets with scores of 25-21, 25-10, and 25-17! They played as a team and kept up their intensity the entire time.

The 7th grade volleyball team won a hard fought, 3-set battle against Blissfield on Monday night. Scores were: 25-12, 22-25, 25-23. Serving was a huge factor in the win, along with determination and grit! The leading scorers for the match were Melanie Lukas with 8 points(8 aces), Abby Sheneman and Lila Kennedy with 7 each, and Emily Farmer with 5. Molly Sierer continues to be a strong force offensively at the net and Addyson Vershum made some great passes from the back row. The team will face Ida at home on Wednesday. Come out and support the team!
Clinton 8th graders played hard at home tonight. They kept up their hard work and won all three sets. The scores were 25-19, 25-18, 25-8! Scoring leaders from tonight were: Kylinn with 11 points, Ashlynn with 9 points and 6 aces, Avery and Rillie had 6 points with Rillie having 4 aces. All girls played really well and took the win as a team. Clinton 8th grade is 3-0 and will take on Ida at home on Wednesday!

The 7th grade volleyball team traveled to Hudson on Wednesday night, and came home with their second victory of the season. The team looked solid on defense and tough at the net. Abby Sheneman and Rylee Pepper led in kills. Leading scorers were Emily Farmer with 10 and Lila Kennedy with 6. Chipping in 5 a piece were Molly Sierer, Melanie Lukas, and Erin Burton. Great job team!
Clinton 8th graders traveled to Hudson last night and played a good Hudson team! They played hard all three games and came away with the win! Scores were 21-25, 25-15, 25-13! There were many rallies with our Clinton girls hitting many of the balls down! Scoring leaders on the night were: Kaylin 8 points with 1 ace, Avery had 6 points 3 aces , Ashlynn had 5 points 1 ace, Zoey had 5 points 3 aces. Emma and Bella each had 4 points with Emma 3 aces and Bella 2. Calli and Kylinn had 3 points while Rillie and Aby U had 2 points each. Abby, Gabby, and Tiana each had 1 point. Great team win ladies! Clinton is home next week on Monday and Wednesday. 7th starting at 5 then 8 afterwards. They are 2-0

The 7th grade volleyball team defeated a tough Dundee squad in their home opener on Tuesday night. The scores were 25-11, 17-25, and 25-9. It was a team effort, with Melanie Lukas leading the way with 11 points(9 aces). Joslyn Kranz was next with 10, followed by Emily Farmer with 6.
Clinton 8th graders opened their season tonight with a great team win over Dundee! They won 2-1 with scores of 25-18, 21-25, then won game three 25-12! It was a great opening game with all girls playing and growing on the court. Scoring leaders on the night were: Avery 15 points then Kylinn, Ashlynn, and Calli each had 7 points and Kaylin with 5 points.
