Girls Middle School Basketball vs. Dundee Community High School

Clinton 7th grade girls basketball earned a home win over Dundee, 14-10.
Addison Loftis paced the Wolfpack with 18 points. Alyssa Piskorowski 6 points, Alissa O'Brien 2 points, Josslyn Handy 2 points and 9 rebounds, Brooklynn Kranz 5 rebounds, and McKenna Hock 4 rebounds.
Clinton concludes the 2024 season with an 8-4 record.
The Clinton 8th grade girls basketball team defeated the Dundee Vikings by the score of 24-22. Clinton was relentless on defense holding the hot shooting Viking to only 3 baskets late in the game. The Redwolves connected on 75% of their free throws down the stretch to secure the victory. With the win, Clinton finished the season with a 7-5 record.
Coach Cornish would like to thank her team for a great season and a special thanks to the parents for their awesome support, too.

Addison Loftis paced the Wolfpack with 26 points, 13 steals, and 10 rebounds. McKenna Hock 23 points and 11 steals, Alyssa Piskorowski 4 points and 6 steals, Alissa O'Brien 3 points and 4 rebounds, and Josslyn Handy 1 point and 5 rebounds.

The Clinton Redwolves dominated over the Hillsdale Hornets in LCAA girls basketball action last Monday night by the score of 21-11. At the beginning of the 3rd quarter, Clinton’s full-court press created many steals that converted to some quick baskets. With the win the Wolves are 6-5 and will battle the Dundee Vikings on Wednesday for their last game of the season.

The Clinton 8th grade girls Basketball team played an uptempo team on Wednesday night. The Redwolves couldn’t slow down the Hudson Tigers and lost the contest 27-10. On Monday Clinton will travel to Hillsdale to battle the Hornets and play Dundee at home on Wednesday to conclude their season. The Redwolves are now 5-5 in the LCAA

Clinton 7th grade girls basketball lost to Blissfield, 15-13.
Addison Loftis paced the Wolfpack with 11 points. Alyssa Piskorowski had her best game of the season scoring 7 points and 5 rebounds. Alissa O'Brien 8 points, Brooklynn Kranz 2 points, McKenna Hock 2 steals, and Josslyn Handy 5 rebounds.
Clinton is 5-4 on the season.

The Clinton 8th grade girls basketball team ran out of gas late in the game as the Blissfield Royals defeated the Redwolves 20-11. Molly Sierer led the team with a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and 4 steals. Erin Burton had 7 points with 4 steals and 1 rebound. Sunny Sachin collected 7 rebounds with 2 points and 1 assist. Emily Farmer had 3 steals, 3 assists and 2 rebounds. Mya Popkey had 4 steals, 3 rebounds, and 1 assists. Joanna Bonica had 2 rebounds. Clinton now stands at 5-4 and will travel to Hudson on Wednesday to take on the Tigers.

Clinton 7th grade girls basketball defeated Madison, 17-9.
Brooklynn Kranz paced the Wolfpack with 8 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 blocks. Addison Loftis 8 points and 5 rebounds/steals, McKenna Hock 8 points and 3 rebounds/steals, Alissa O'Brien 3 points and 2 assists, Josslyn Handy 9 rebounds, and Alyssa Piskorowski 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
Clinton improves to 5-3 on the season.

The 8th Grade Basketball team defeated the Madison Trojans by the score of 27-17. In the second half the Redwolves were making their outside shots and they also drained 2 3’s. Clinton’s aggressive defense and impressive rebounding were also key factors in tonight’s win. The Redwolves are now 5-3 in the LCAA.

8th grade Girls Basketball by Coach Sue Cornish
The Clinton 8th grade girls Basketball team defeated the Ida Bluestreaks by the score of 11-4. Clinton’s defense was a key factor tonight as they held the Bluestreaks to only two baskets in the second half. The Redwolves improved to 4-3 in the LCAA and will battle the Madison Trojans on Wednesday.

Mya Popkey led the Redwolves with 6 points, 7 steals, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
Erin Burton also had 6 points, 3 rebounds and 7 steals.

The Clinton 8th grade girls basketball team made an awesome comeback against Dundee in the last quarter, but it wasn’t enough as the Viking defeated the Redwolves 22-18. Coach Cornish was proud of her team as they were down by 15 points late in the third and put up16 points in the 4th quarter to Dundee 2 points. Clinton started executing their plays for easy baskets and pressing full court to come up with some aggressive steals. The Team now stands at 3-3 in the LCAA.

Clinton 7th grade girls basketball defeated Onsted 20-4.
Addison Loftis had a season-high 28 points to lead the Wolfpack. Alissa O'Brien 8 points, Alyssa Piskorowski 4 points & 12 rebounds, Brooklynn Kranz 2 points & 4 rebounds, Josslyn 6 rebounds & 4 steals, and McKenna Hock 3 rebound/steal.
Clinton improves to 3-2 on the season.
8th Grade Girls Basketball by Coach Cornish
The Clinton 8th grade girls basketball team put 7 girls in the scoring column as the Redwolves defeated the Onsted Wildcats 29-1. Clinton used a full court press in the second half to create easy buckets. Coach Cornish stated, “It was a great game on both ends of the floor.

Clinton 7th grade girls basketball team clamped down on the defensive end, winning 15-4.
Alissa O'Brien led the Wolfpack with 13 points. Addison Loftis 11 points/rebounds, Alyssa Piskorowski 4 points & 7 rebounds, Kaylee Kranz 2 points & 4 rebounds, Josslyn Handy 5 rebounds & 4 steals, and McKenna Hock 1 rebound/steal.
Our defense awareness was outstanding tonight. Huge improvement from last week

8th grade basketball by Coach Sue Cornish
The Clinton 8th grade girls basketball team lost to the visiting Hudson Tigers Monday night by the score of 25-11. During the second half the Redwolves had a difficult time beating Hudson’s full court press. The team has one practice to work on basics before they battle again on Wednesday.

Clinton 7th grade girls basketball lost a nail biter at Blissfield, 18-17.
All the girls scored tonight with Addison Loftis leading the pack with 15 points. McKenna Hock 4 points, Josslyn Handy 3 points, Alyssa Piskorowski 2 points, Brooklynn Kranz 2 points, and Alissa O'Brien 2 points.
Our defense did a good job pressuring the ball as we had 17 steals. The girls played very well in a tight game.
We are 1-2 on the season.

The Clinton 8th grade girls basketball team suffered their first loss of the season as the Blissfield Royals hung on to capture the win 13-12.
The Redwolves put up 8 points in the final quarter to Blissfield’s 2 points but the time ran out on the Wolves. Overall, Coach Cornish was pleased with the team’s effort scrambling back from a deficit to make it an exciting finish.

Clinton 7th grade girls basketball won their home opener against Madison, 25-4. The girls played very well from the opening tip in route to the victory.
Addison Loftis led the offense with 23 points, 13 rebounds, 9 assists, and 9 steals. Alissa O'Brien scored 14 points, McKenna Hock 8 points, Alyssa Piskorowski 6 points, Brooklynn Kranz 3 points, and Josslyn Handy 8 rebounds.
The team combined for 54 points, 39 rebounds, 17 assists, and 21 steals. The girls showed drastic improvement from game 1.
The 8th grade girls basketball team won a close contest against the visiting Madison Trojans. The Redwolves were down by two points at halftime, but made a huge come from behind victory in the final quarter to seal the win. “It was a great team effort,” said Coach Cornish. “We played great defense in the 4th quarter to get some quick baskets.” Clinton’s record is now 2-0 in the LCAA.

Clinton 7th grade girls basketball dropped their season opener at Ida, 19-8. The team consists of Josslyn Handy, Mckenna Hock, Brooklynn Kranz, Addison Loftis, Alissa O'Brien, and Alyssa Piskorowski.
Addison Loftis led the offense with 12 points. Brooklynn Kranz chipped in with 3 points while Alyssa Piskorowski had 2 points.
The girls played a very clean game defensively as we only committed 1 foul the entire game.
First year Coach Jeff Delezenne said, It was a good start to our season as we continue to build upon the fundamentals!
The Clinton 8th grade Girls Basketball team opened their season with a defeat over the Ida Bluestreaks 17-16.
Clinton was up at halftime to start the second half with a 2-1 point lead. The Bluestreaks put on their full-court press, but the Redwolves capitalized on a few fastbreak baskets. Ida then caught fire in the final quarter, however; it was the Redwolves that held onto the lead when the final buzzer went off.
