The 7th Grade Redwolves football team hosted the Hillsdale Hornets, and fell in defeat for the final game of the season on Wednesday, October 20.   The Redwolves worked the clock and moved the ball as deep as the Hornet 4 yard line on the opening drive, but could not find the endzone on 4th and goal.  The momentum from the defensive stop on 4th down would propel Hillsdale to the endzone on their next drive for the first score of the game to put the Hornets up 6-0 after a failed conversion attempt due to tackle for loss by Will Hawkins. Hillsdale would score again in the 2nd half ,and add two more points to the tally with a successful conversion attempt to have a 14-0 lead before the Redwolves would get a score of their own on a Quarterback Keep from the 1 yard line by Louis Della-Badia to keep them in the game.  The Redwolves then needed to force a punt or turnover from the Hornets, but came up short.   7th Grade Redwolves Final: 6-14 Despite the defeat, the 7th Grade Redwolves had a great season.  Finishing the season with a 4-2 record.

The 8th Grade Redwolves football team completed their undefeated season Wednesday, October 20, defeating the Madison Trojans. The Redwolves would begin the game with the ball, but would face adversity early with a rare turnover on downs.  The defense would step up in response to the turnover by forcing their own with the Trojans nearing the Redwolves endzone.  The following drive would see the Redwolves move the ball up the field with big gains on the ground from Bryce Randolph, and a completed pass from Colt Perry to Brendan Benschoter, but the drive would stall out as the Redwolves failed to convert on 4th and goal.  The defense would once again respond after the offensive turnover.  This time putting points on the board with a tackle for safety by Outside Linebacker Devon Trent (2-0).  The Redwolves were right back in the endzone on the ensuing punt kickoff with a 60 yard return by Blake Sloan.  Randolph would truck his way in the endzone on the 2-point conversion attempt to give the Redwolves a 10-0 lead.  There was no let up in the Redwolves effort coming out of the half.  The defense front of Joe Webb, Clifford Jones, Noah, Yovanov, Eli Turner, Jayden German, and Teagan Zbikowski swarmed the Trojan runners on their opening offensive drive, and forced another turnover to set the offense up inside the Trojan 30 yard line.  Randolph would add the next points with a 3 yard Touchdown run, followed by a successful 2-point run by Sloan to put the Redwolves up 18-0.  After having little success on the ground, the Trojans would look to the air to put up some points, but Safety Colt Perry would deny the opportunity on the drive with an interception.  Two plays is all the Redwolves would need to add another Touchdown to the total.  First, Randolph busted a 25 yard run up the middle to cross into Trojan territory, and Sloan would finish it off with a 45 yard tackle-breaking run for his 2nd touchdown of the game.  An unsuccessful conversion attempt would leave the score at 26-0.  The Redwolves scoreless quarter streak would end at 11 with a 1 yard touchdown run by the Trojans in the 4th quarter (26-6).  The Redwolves would answer back after the score with a second Randolph Touchdown from 5 yards out to tally a 32-6 lead.  The Trojans had one more score in them before the clock struck 0:00, but it wasn’t near enough to upset the dominant Redwolves.   8th Grade Redwolves Final: 32-14 The victory makes the 8th Grade Redwolves undefeated not only for the season (6-0), but also undefeated for their middle school careers.  Congratulations on the incredible accomplishment boys!!!! Thanks to the cheer team for their hard work and support this season!

Clinton Middle School football notched two victories to their season win total Wednesday with wins on the road against LCAA opponent Onsted.   The 7th Grade Redwolves defense took the field to start the game and quickly forced the Wildcats into a punting situation which resulted in an errant snap setting the Redwolves offense up in good field position.  The mistake proved to be costly for the Wildcats as Redwolves were able to march up the short field with a complete contribution from the backfield of Dacarri Garrison, Tanner Bolton, Sammy Stewart, and Louie Della-Badia.  Della-Badia finished off the drive with a 5 yard Quarterback Keep up the middle for a Touchdown giving the Redwolves a 6-0 and the only points of the half.   The Redwolves would start the 2nd half with the ball and move into good field position after back to back big plays of over 20 yards from Jake Halchishak, first on the kickoff return and then on the ground.  Ultimately, the Redwolves would not capitalize on the drive, and turn the ball over on downs.  The lead would shift hand for the first time with the Wildcats finding success in the air with a 82 yard pass for a Touchdown, and successful 2-point conversion making the score 8-6 Onsted.  The Redwolves would respond to the Wildcat score with a successful Touchdown drive of their own to take back the lead.  Scoring off a 5 yard Touchdown run from Jake Halchishak to give the Redwolves a 12-8.  Onsted would threaten score and steal the game from the Redwolves in the final minutes, but pressure from defensive lineman Will Hawkins, Owen Wright, Chance Maddox, and Lucas Coughlin, along with Outside Linebackers Kyler Pawlowski, and Tanner Bolton, forced a pass into coverage between defensive backs Jonah Hahn, and Sammy Stewart resulting in an incomplete pass and Turnover on Downs in Redwolves territory to seal the victory 12-8.    Other players with notable contributions to the win include Tight End/Cornerback Austin Putnam, and Kicker/Safety Conner Wegner.   The 7th Grade Redwolves improve their season record to 4-1. 7th Grade Redwolves Final: 12-8 Record: 4-1 The 8th Grade Redwolves continue to dominate their competition in all phases of the game,  now holding their opponents scoreless in two straight games, and recording their 3rd shutout of the season.  Blake Sloan once again broke away for a long Touchdown run of 58 yards for the Redwolves first score of the game.  Colt Perry would follow up on the 2-point conversion with a pass to Sloan to put the Redwolves up 8-0.  After forcing a second 3 and out defensively, the Redwolves ate up the clock and the Wildcats on the ground, but a fumble deep in Wildcat territory would squander the scoring opportunity.  Once again the defense stepped up and forced the Wildcats into a punt.  Bryce Randolph would cap the second half with a 10 yard Touchdown run, and Brenden Benschoter would add 2 more with a successful conversion run.   Onsted started the 2nd half with the ball hoping for an opportunity to get back in the game, but the Redwolves would have nothing of it.  The defensive front of John Keibler, Landon Lakatos, Joe Webb, Shane Cook, Eli Turner, Devon Trent, and Noah Yovanov was swarming to the Wildcat Quarterback all night, and the Wildcats struggled to find receivers due to excellent coverage from defensive backs Benschoter, Broderick, Perry, and Jaren Settles.  The result of the opening drive would be an Interception for Safety Colt Perry.  Perry would follow his interception with a long Touchdown pass.  Rolling right out of the pocket and on the run, Perry delivered air mail to Braden Broderick who would out race the defenders the rest of the way for a 65 yard Touchdown.  Clinton would work the clock, and eventually the scoreboard on their next offensive possession.  A great push from offensive lineman Teagan Zbikowski, Donnie Kline, and Tight End Cliff Jones allowed Randolph to run into the endzone standing up for his second Touchdown of the game giving the Redwolves 28-0 lead.  With the game well out of reach, Onsted was looking to the air in the hopes of scoring, but Colt Perry would dash those hopes with his 2nd Interception of the game to put a stamp on the victory.  The victory improves the 8th Grade Redwolves record to 5-0. 8th Grade Redwolves Final: 28-0 Record: 5-0 Thanks to the cheer team for keeping the fans and parents roaring for the Redwolves! Both teams are back at home for the final game of the season next Wednesday, October 20.  The 7th grade will play Hillsdale at 5 P.M. followed by the 8th grade against Adrian-Madison. Come support your Pack!

Clinton Middle School Football holds the Dundee Vikings scoreless in two victories at Wegner Field Wednesday evening, 10/06.   The 7th Grade Redwolves started on defense and were imposing throughout the game.  After ceding an early first down, the Redwolves forced a Turnover on Downs in Viking territory to set up good field position for the offense.  Offensive lineman Owen Wright, Kyler Pawlowski, Lucas Coughlin, Lucas Goetting, Chance Maddox and Tight Ends Austin Putnam, Conner Wegner, and Jake Jeffrey provided a solid push up front, and created big running lanes for the backs to pick up large gains on the ground.  Jake Halchishak was the feature back of the first drive accruing 30 yards on 5 carries, including a 9 yard Touchdown run.  Sammy Stewart successfully rushed the 2 point conversion for an 8-0 Redwolves lead.  Stewart found the endzone for a second time in the 2nd quarter with a 12 yard TD run set up by a big run on the previous play by Tanner Bolton.  Quarterback Louis Della-Badia converted the 2 point try with a keep play to add a total of eight more to the Redwolves total before half (16-0).   The Redwolves would strike right away to start the 2nd half with a Dacari Garrison 47 yard bolt to the endzone that left the Vikings thunderstruck.  Della-Badia then delivered the ball to Stewart through the air for a successful 2 point conversion (24-0).  Dundee would briefly find themselves in Clinton territory for the first time on the following drive after completing a long pass play, but the Redwolves would snuff out the drive with a Kyler Pawlowski fumble recovery.  Jonah Hahn scored his first Touchdown of the season to add the Redwolves final Touchdown, and Austin Putnam would get his first points of the season with a successful reception in the endzone for the 2 point try.   7th Grade Redwolves: 32-0 Final   The 8th Grade Redwolves pitched a shutout of their own to follow their 7th grade counterparts.  The Redwolves forced Dundee into a 3 and out on their first offensive possession setting the Redwolves up in good field position.  Blake Sloan then capitalized by dashing down the sideline for 40 yards and a Touchdown.  Colt Perry would deliver the ball through the air to Sloan for a successful 2 point attempt (8-0).  The game then went into a defensive standstill until the 4th quarter with Linebackers Bryce Randolph, Eli Turner, Devon Trent, Noah Yovanov Cliff Jones, and Defensive Lineman Landon Lakatos, Joe Webb, Donnie Kline, Cassius Jahn, Jayden German, Teagan Zbikowski, Carson Ehnis, and Shane Cook all getting in on the action to suppress the Viking rush while Defensive Backs Jaren Settles, Braden Broderick, and Brenden Benshoter shut down the air attack.  The dry spell ended with another long Touchdown run of 60 yards by Blake Sloan along with a successful Sloan run on the conversion try (16-0).  The ball continued to roll the Redwolves with the ensuing onside kickoff by John Keibler going directly into the waiting arms of Blake Sloan.  The Redwolves then ate up the clock with punishing runs on the drive that later ended in Sloan punching into the endzone for this third Touchdown of the game.  Colt Perry kept and scored for the conversion try. 8th Grade Redwolves: 24-0 Final

The 8th grade Redwolves traveled to Chelsea yesterday, (09/28) and dominated the Bulldogs coming away with a 52-8 victory.  The pack was swarming on defense, and established control of the line of scrimmage early with Defensive Lineman Joe Webb, Landon Lakatos, John Keibler, Carson Ehnis, and Shane Cook and Outside Linebackers Eli Turner, Noah Yovanov, and Devon Trent.  The pressure from the defensive line would get to the Bulldogs on the first drive, and the result would be a Bryce Randolph Interception.  The offensive line followed suit upfront, helping the Redwolves pick up large gains on the ground with contributions on the line from Jayden German, Teagan Zbikowski, Donnie Kline, and Tight ends Clifford Jones, Jaren Settles, and Cassius Jahn.  The backfield featuring Blake Sloan, Bryce Randolph, Brenden Benschooter, and Braden Broderick would rack up the yards and Touchdowns throughout the game.  Randolph followed his Interception with the first Touchdown (6-0).  The ensuing kickoff would see Sloan recover an onside kick that the Redwolves would capitalize off of later in the drive with a Blake Sloan Touchdown, and Colt Perry 2-Point Conversion (12-0).  Randolph then added his second of four Touchdowns along with a Sloan 2-point conversion to conclude the half 22-0 Redwolves. The second half was just as dominant as the first with the Redwolves racking up 30 points in total.  Braden Broderick would find the endzone for a Touchdown and 2-point conversion on the opening drive (30-0).  To be followed by another Bryce Randolph pounding run up the middle for a score (36-0).  The Bulldogs would find the endzone once with a long TD pass to open the 4th quarter (36-8), but the Redwolves continued pressure on defense, and forceful push upfront was too much for the Bulldogs.  Randolph tallied his fourth Touchdown in response to the Bulldog score (44-8), and then teamed up with Sloan defensively to deliver a big hit that allowed Sloan to rip the ball right out of the arms of a Bulldog Receiver, and race to the endzone for a 55 yard defensive score.  Benschoter would add on the final 2 points of the game on the conversion.   8th Grade Redwolves Final: 52-8 The 7th Grade Redwolves are home tonight hosting the Blissfield Royals at 5 PM.   Clinton Redwolves Middle School Football shows their strength in home opener vs the Hudson Tigers on Wednesday (09/22).   The 7th grade Redwolves began the game on defense, and set the tone right away forcing a Turnover on Downs.  The Tiger runner had a chance, but was halted just short of the line to gain  by Safety Dacari Garrison.  With good field position provided by the defense, the Redwolves offense picked up where they left off last week.  Tanner Bolton would stride for 20 yard game early, and then break free again with a 14 yard Touchdown run. Followed with a successful 2-point conversion by Sammy Stewart giving the Redwolves an early 8-0 lead.  The Tigers responded as soon as possible though.  Returning the ensuing Kickoff for a touchdown.  The Redwolves defense would prevent the 2-point conversion try with a Jake Halchishak tackle at the goalline (8-6).  Both defenses would hold steadfast through a scoreless 2nd quarter. Sammy Stewart racked up the yards in the 2nd half.  He would get the offense going early with a 53 yard touchdown dash down the sideline to increase the lead to 14-6.  Stewart would later bowl over Tigers adding two more 20+ yard runs on the next offensive drive that was punctuated with a Jake Halchishak 19 yard Touchdown run, and Tanner Bolton 2-point conversion.   The Redwolves defense led by standouts Kyler Pawlowski, Will Hawkins, Owen Wright, Conner Wegner, Jonah Hahn, Lucas Coughlin, Lucas Goeting, Austin Putnam, Brody Wenn, Chance Maddox, and Louie Della-Badia would swarm the Tigers all half keeping them out of the endzone.  Pawlowski would put a stamp on the victory with a sack fumble on the final play of the game.    7th Grade Redwolves Final: 22-6  Record: 2-0   The 8th Grade Redwolves would follow suit against the Tigers with an even more dominant performance.  Opening on offense, the Redwolves established dominance at the line of scrimmage with Lineman Joe Webb, Noah Yovanov, Eli Turner, Jayden German, Teagan Zbikowski, and Cliff Jones. The Redwolves were able to march down the field gaining large chunks of yardage on the ground, and a long pass from Colt Perry to Braden Broderick before Brenden Benschoter galloped into the endzone from 24 yards out.  Cliff Jones would find himself on the receiving end of a Colt Perry Pass to complete the conversion try and give the Redwolves an early 8-0 lead.  Deja vu struck the crowd when Hudson would retaliate by returning the ensuing kick off for a touchdown just as their 7th grade counterparts did in the previous game (8-6).  The Tigers would find more luck on the following kickoff with a fumble recovery to set them up near midfield.  Momentum would swing back into Clinton's favor on the very next play of the drive with a perfectly tipped pass by Blake Sloan that would fall into the waiting arms of Brenden Benschoter. It all went Clinton’s way from this point on. Bryce Randolph added another TD and conversion tallying the score to 16-6.  The next offensive possession would see Blake Sloan strike from 70 yards out to add 6 more (22-6).  Sloan was hungry for the ball, and showed it by delivering it back to his team defensively by way of a sack, fumble, and Clinton recovery.  He would then provide his second TD run giving way to a 28-6 halftime lead.   The Redwolves continued their dominance into the second half.  First, forcing another fumble caused by Sloan, his second of the night, and Clinton recovery.  Then adding a TD through the air from Colt Perry to Braden Broderick, along with a Colt Perry QB sneak for 2 more (36-6).  The final points to the tally were added by Broderick on the ground for his second TD of the game (42-6).   Notable Players contributing to the victory were: Carson Ehnis, Cassius Jahn, John Keibler, Landon Lakatos, Shane Cook, and Jaren Settles 8th Grade Redwolves Final: 42-6 Record: 2-0  Next week the 8th grade team travels to Chelsea to take on the Bulldogs on Tuesday, 09/28.  The 7th grade team will host Blissfield at 5 P.M. Clinton Redwolves Middle School Football opened up the season with two decisive victories on the road against LCAA opponent the Ida Bluestreaks on Wednesday night (09/15).   The 7th grade Redwolves offense started the game off by methodically marching up the field, and punctuating the scoring drive with a Sam Stewart 31 yard scamper to the endzone.  Tanner Bolton would add 2 points to the tally with a successful  2-point conversion giving an 8-0 early lead.  The Redwolves defense then stepped up BIG to maintain their first half lead, and keep the Bluestreaks off the board in the 1st half with a forced fumble by Cornerback Jonah Hahn and recovery by Safety Sam Stewart. Starting with a 3-0 lead in the 2nd half the Redwolves fell behind 3-6 for a brief moment after ceeding a touchdown to Ida.  Their response would come quick, and in numerous succession.  Offensive lineman Owen Wright, Kyler Pawlowski, Will Hawkins, Chance Maddox, Lucas Coughlin, and Austin Putnam fueled the resurgence. First, with a Jake Halchishak 60 yd TD run and Tanner Bolton 2-point conversion (11-6).  Followed by a second long TD dash of 56 yards by Sam Stewart and 3rd overall 2-point conversion from Bolton (19-6).  Finally, Stewart would round off the scoring for the night with 8 more by providing his 3rd TD and converting the 2 point try (27-6).   Notable defensive standouts were Louie Della-Badia, Connor Wegner, Lucas Goetting, and Brody Wenn 7th Grade Redwolves: 27-6 Final The 8th grade Redwolves were effective in all facets of the game.  After a scoreless first quarter dominated by a classic Clinton clock-eating drive, the Redwolves struck paydirt with a Bryce Randolph 4 yard TD and Blake Sloan 2-point conversion (8-0).  Sloan wouldn’t wait long to find the endzone again, adding to the score with a 51 yard TD run followed by a successful Randolph 2-point conversion (16-0). Starting the 2nd half with a 3-0 lead and set to kick, the Redwolves claimed the ball back right away, swarming to a perfectly placed onside kick by John Keibler.  Sloan would follow the recovery with another long tackle-breaking run of 48 yds in order to surpass the 100 yard milestone for rushing yards in the game (9-0).   The Bluestreaks were not able to come by any points thanks to a forceful defensive line anchored by Landon Lakatos, Joe Webb, John Keibler, Eli Turner, Noah Yovanov, and Cliff Jones.  No defensive play was bigger than the forced turnover that led to the game sealing TD. Aided by excellent coverage from the defensive backs Brendan Benschoter, Braden Broderick, Colt Perry, and Jaren Settles, Turner pursued a scrambling Bluestreak QB and layed down a punishing hit that forced a fumble recovered by Big Joe Webb.  Scooter (Benschoter) would add the final points with a 10 yard TD making the final score 15-0. Other Notable defensive standouts include: Teagan Zbikowski, Jayden German, Carson Ehnis, Cassius Jahn, and Donnie Kline. 8th Grade Redwolves: 15-0 Final Thanks to our amazing cheer team for keeping the fans roaring!!!
