The MS Boy's 8th Grade Basketball team welcomed the Royals of Blissfield to town and treated them very poorly. The Redwolves won the LCAA game 31-9 (all quarter scoring 55-26), this win pushes their LCAA record to 8-2. "Wow, that's all I can say! The boys played amazing defense tonight that caused chaos for Blissfield, which in turn led to some easy run outs. The teams outlet looks were absolutely amazing. If we kept stats for our games, we would have had at least 15-18 assists on the night, unselfish basketball all night. We played an amazing 2nd half of basketball and it was great to see the kids working hard and having fun. They have a lot to learn, but I really appreciate how well they picked up concepts, in our short amount of time together." stated Coach Ramos. Again thank you to the family/friends who come out to support these student/athletes, it was fun watching them grow their knowledge of the game. Our next and final game of the season will be Wednesday December 15th at Hudson. Wishing everyone a great holiday season. Scoring: Eli Turner; 15 Quinn Walden 14; Devon Trent 14; Jaren Settles 4; Noah Yonanov 2; Angel Rubio 2; Jayden German 2; Donnie Kline 2

The Redwolves 8th Grade Basketball Team traveled to Brooklyn last night to face off with the Eagles, but were beaten on a "cold" shooting night for the team, 27-12 (all quarter points 50-30). "Man we just couldn't find the bottom of the hoop tonight. We got great looks, layups, but just couldn't finish. Hats off to BCC, as they matched our intensity all night. The boy's effort continues to be high throughout the game. We have two games remaining on the season and we will continue to work hard. There has been so much improvement within the short time we get to coach these kids up and I continue to be proud of them." stated Coach Ramos. The Redwolves last two games will be Monday Dec 13th at HOME vs Blissfield and then AWAY on Wednesday Dec 15th vs Hudson. Scoring: Teagan Zbikowski 9; Eli Turner 7; Devon Trent 6; Angel Rubio 4; Donnie Kline 2; Noah Yonanov 1; Quinn Walden 1

The 8th Grade Boys Basketball team welcomed the Ida Bluestreaks to Redwolves Country last night and they handed the Redwolves only their 2nd loss on the season. "We ran into a much improved Bluestreak team and with uncharacter miscues and our lowest output of scoring on the year led to the loss.  The Bluestreaks won the first half 3-0, then scored 30 second half points (with all 5 quarters Ida 56 points Clinton 40 points). It just seemed we were a step slower for some reason tonight. We will have our team meeting, go through a good practice and turn around and get ready for another good opponent, Brooklyn Columbia Central on Wednesday." commented Coach Ramos. Thanks to our fans for all of their support at our games, it is "really" appreciated. Scoring: Eli Turner 19 pts; Devon Trent 7; Teagan Zbikowski 6; Quinn Walden 5; Jaren Settles 3

The 8th Grade Boys Basketball team was back in action for the first time since Thanksgiving Break and they came out a little rusty on the offensive end of the floor, but picked up right where they left off defensively. The team was able to earn the win tonight by the score of 33- 10 (total score was 52- 15). "Always going to wonder how the team will be after a break during their season, but was completely happy with the boy's defensive efforts again last night. It was a rough night at the rim for the boys as we shot 28 Free Throws as a team. This tells me two things: 1-the boys are attacking the rim, which is what you want to see   2-the other team just hacked the heck out of the boys all night long, which is frustrating as a coach to see and obviously as a player. However, they battled all night and came through with a nice win for themselves." stated Coach Ramos. The Middle School boys will next be in action Monday December 6th at Home vs the Ida Bluestreaks. Please come out to support the team. See you at the gym. Scoring: Eli Turner 9; Devon Trent 9; Quinn Walden 7; Tanner Bolton 7; Angel Rubio 5; Jayden German 5; Jaren Settles 4; Teagan Zbikowski 4; Brian Ferree 2

The 8th Grade Basketball team fell a little short in their first loss of the season last night. The visiting Onsted Wildcats came out victorious by a score of 27-19 (total scoring it was a different story as Clinton dominated 58-31, holding Onsted to only 4 first half points in the first 3 quarters). "Give Onsted credit they were able to pull out the victory, as our offense slowed down in the 2nd half. We couldn't string together enough good offensive possessions together and we got those one shot and dones on our end. The game was against a tough team as they too, came into the contest 5-0. The team played extremely well effort wise tonight and I'm proud of them. We will head into break with our 5-1 record as we make the turn in the league and look to finish strong. I expect the boys to be ready to go when we get back from break." stated Coach Ramos. Wanted to wish all a nice holiday break with family and friends. Scoring: Devon Trent 15; Eli Turner 15; Teagan Zbikowski 13; Quinn Walden 12; Noah Yovanov 2; Jayden German 1

The 8th Grade Middle School Boys Basketball team welcomed the Hudson Tigers to town last night and sent them away with a loss. The Redwolves won 29-19 (or using all scoring 56-39). "We are still playing teams for the first time thru and we are learning about them and what they like to run, so tonight was another good win for the team. The team is allowing an avg of 14 pts in the first half, but Hudson came out strong scoring 20 pts, while the Redwolves scored 30 (averaging 25 pts in the 1st half). We took control in the first quarter of the 2nd half by giving up 8 pts and scoring 17. The boys are out here talking more defensively and trying to get their team some offensive charges. Their competitiveness is really showing and after 5 LCAA ball games, they are really getting better. We have our next game tonight vs Onsted, this is the last game before we head back through the league, so we want to come out and play as well as we can. The team knows they have to bring a great attitude and effort, like they do every night." commented Coach Ramos. The boys will play Onsted Tuesday November 23rd at Home. Wishing everyone a great Holiday. Scoring: Quinn Walden 16; Eli Turner 16; Teagan Zbikowski 10; Jayden German 6; Tanner Bolton 4; Jaren Settles 3; Angel Rubio 1

The 8th Grade Boys MS team traveled to Royal country to take on Blissfield tonight. The team came away with a 22-19 (54-28, going by points scored in all quarters). "A game that was closer than we wanted it to be, but again the team displayed a lot of determination and effort tonight. We played a great first half (scoring 35 points in the 3 five minute quarters) where we only allowed them to score 9 total points, where we were able to put up 31 total points. However, we became complacent in the 2nd half and were a little sloppy with the ball, but the team was able to keep their wits and push their record to 4-0 in the LCAA. Man just enjoy watching these kids continue to grow and have fun playing the game together. We will get after it next week as we have back to back home games next Mon November 22nd vs Hudson and then Tuesday November 23rd vs Onsted, both these games will be at home." stated Coach Ramos. We really appreciate all the support in the stands we have been getting from family and friends, thanks. The 8th Grade Redwolves had another tightly contested game at home vs the Eagles of Columbia Central last night and came out with a big win by the score of 31-27 (real score of 37-36). "Man these kids keep fighting and playing hard. Again very proud of their efforts tonight. We were able to knock down some big 3's (which is not what we want to be doing, but obviously help) tonight which either put us ahead or tied us up. The boys now move to 3-0 on the season and continue to improve. With the win we continue to find things from games that we can work on in practice to keep getting better. Another team effort win tonight." commented Coach Ramos. The boys play again Wednesday November 17th at Blissfield. Scoring: Devon Trent 15; Quinn Walden 14; Teagan Zibikowski 5; Jaren Settles 3; Angel Rubio 2

What a fantastic game last night! It took place at the Ida Middle School gym. The Redwolves 8th Grade Boys Basketball played with a lot of grit and determination to pull out an Overtime victory against the Bluestreaks, by the score of 42-36. "It was literally one of the best games I've seen/coached in my 20+ years here at Clinton. The team weathered some very serious setbacks throughout the game, but persevered and won a hotly contested ball game. I was extremely proud of how these young men handled and carried themselves during this game, as there were plenty of times where things could have gotten out of control. The team continued to compete , work and believe in each other as the game continued. We went 13/15 from the free throw line in the 4th quarter and in OT, which was huge!! Whether we would have won or lost this game, I was excited to see growth (as the players learned and got some valuable late game, tight game situational things you sometimes can't always be ready for) from the team and the competitiveness to work. Just a great overall game", stated Coach Ramos.  The Redwolves will be home on Monday the 15th, as the Eagles from Columbia Central come to town. Good luck fellas. The 8th Grade MS Boys season started off with a bang Monday night. The Redwolves came out strong scoring 36 points in the first 3, 5 minute quarters outscoring the Dundee Vikings 36-6. This domination of suffocating defense gave the Redwolves a 3-0 lead heading into the 2nd half (in the LCAA there are 3 five minute quarters in the 1st half and you get a point for each quarter you win, so the most you can be ahead at halftime is 3-0). The second half had the Redwolves outscore the Vikings again with a score of 26-11. The final on the night was an overall WIN for the team, and if you were to put all the scoring together it was the Redwolves 62 Vikings 17. "Well, it was finally nice to play someone with a different color jersey tonight. The boys have been working really hard the last two weeks to prepare for their season. I saw a lot of really good things and with it being the first game their was plenty of things that I saw we need to work on. But wow did they play some great defense in those first 3 quarters. I was also really excited how we moved and passed the ball for most of the game. We will just keep working in practice to get ready for the the next team we play. Proud of the boys", commented Coach Ramos. The Redwolves go on the road this Wednesday to play Ida. Scoring vs Dundee: Devon Trent 16; Eli Turner 15; Teagan Zibikowski 14; Quinn Walden 8; Noah Yovanov 4; Jaren Settles 4; Jayden German 1
