The Redwolves take care of Onsted in straight sets. In set 1, the wolves started slow but chipped away and took the lead mid set with a long run from Kaylin Sposite behind the serving line. In set 2, Clinton took control early and did not look bad. Looking solid in all aspects, Clinton was able to run a fast offense and keep Onsted on their toes. Moving into set 3 the Redwolves pieced together a few long serving runs and picked up some quality digs to secure the set and the match.

The Redwolves SWEPT Dundee tonight in a battle of the undefeated’s in LCAA play. The Wolves were able to control the pace of the match and use that to their advantage on the road. In set 1, Clinton was able to balance out the offense with in system passing allowing for open swings. In set 2, Clinton took the momentum and ran. In set 3, the Wolves went down 9-1 early. With a whole team effort the team slowly chipped away at Dundees lead. A late push, a few timely blocks and all out on defense the wolves were able to secure the set and the match. Clinton improves to 7-0 in LCAA play and 18-7 on the year.

The Redwolves traveled to Lincoln High School Saturday to play in a full day of competition in The Splitter Invitational. Finishing the day 3-2 the Wolves battled through adversity early on in pool play, but did not settle. Clinton matched up with opponents Holt, Ann Arbor Pioneer, Lincoln Park, Green Hills and Dearborn. The Redwolves improve their season record to 17-7, and will now prepare for a tough LCAA match on the road Tuesday against Dundee.

The Redwolves dropped 2 close matches tonight against Tecumseh and Hanover Horton. A gym filled with three high level volleyball teams did not disappoint the crowd. Despite going 0-2 on the night, Clinton was led by athletes Brailey Gibson (21 digs), Kaylee Kranz (21 kills), Lauren Shenaman (18 kills) and Avery Loftis (36 assists).

The Redwolves competed against Madison tonight at home in LCAA league play. Clinton improved their league record to 5-0 with a sweep over Madison. With strong offensive performances from Kaylee Kranz and Lauren Shenamen, the Wolves chipped away in set 1 to win 25-20. In set 2 driven by more aggressive serving the Redwolves won 25-10. In the final set of the night the Wolves dug deep and fought hard to complete the sweep and win the set 25-23.

The Clinton Varsity volleyball team traveled to Harper Creek to compete in the Cereal City tournament. The Redwolves went 2-2 on the day competing against Class A (Thornapple Kellogg) and Class B (Harper Creek, Lakeview, and Hopkins). The Redwolves started off the day strong with a win against Class A Thornapple Kellogg, with aggressive serving and net play the Wolves took the match with scores of 25-19 and 25-9. The second set the Redwolves faced a consistent Lakeview team, despite efforts to disrupt their in system defense the Wolves dropped the match 12-25 and 17-25. Bouncing back for the final match in pool play, looking for a spot in the GOLD bracket the Redwolves matched up against Class B Hopkins. With a strong performance from the serving line and a quick offense the Wolves were able to take the match and advance to the GOLD bracket with scores of 25-14 and 25-12. Moving into GOLD bracket play, the draw was against the Wolves facing off against Class B powerhouse Harper Creek. The first set was back and forth with consistent play from both sides, with a 20-25 loss in the first set. Harper Creek took a commanding lead in the second set with aggressive serving to secure the victory. The Wolves improve their record to 12-3 on the season and look to prepare for LCAA action on Tuesday at home against Madison.

The Redwolves varsity volleyball team opened up at home Saturday August 24th. The Redwolves finished the day 3-0 not dropping a set, to improve their season record to 6-1. Starting off the day slow to Homer, Clinton was able to rally back in the first set to win 28-26. The second set Clinton came out firing, with minimal errors and well-rounded team play taking the set 25-6. Clinton then took on Lincoln in match 2 of the day, with another great team performance the Redwolves won 25-12 (set 1) and 25-11 (set 2). To conclude the day Clinton matched up against Michigan Center, with a slow start early in set 1 the Redwolves fought back to pick up the set 25-22. In set 2 the team did not take their foot off the pedal, with hustle plays and long serving runs Clinton was able to win the set 25-13.
