First round of districts Clinton beat Ida 7-0.  Madalyn Freitas started off the night with a goal 7 minutes in to the game with an assist by Maya Hillegonds.  20 minutes later Hillegonds set up Aubrey Lauer to score the second goal of the night.  3 minutes later Cassie McNatt put the ball through for Aubrey Lauer to make it 3-0.  After half Freitas scored 2 minutes into the half with an assist from Mia Struck.  With 20 minutes left in the half Aubrey Lauer put the ball in the air for Stella Starnes to score.  Lauer does it again and Starnes gets the ball in for goal number 6 of the night.  Emerald Sierer puts the ball in from the wide corner to set up Aubrey Lauer to score the 7th and final goal of the game.  Maya Hillegonds played an exceptional game in the middle where she won the ball and continued the Redwolves attack.  Cylee Elkins, Audra Mitchell, Emma Snelling and Ruby Sierer held the line, possessed the ball and moved the ball forward.  Rachel Duford had 4 saves.  Clinton plays in district finals on Thursday against Milan at 6:00 in MIlan.

Clinton beat Blissfield 7-1.  Freitas started the night off with the frist goal of the night on a PK with 8 minutes left in the half.  In the first two minutes of the half Anna Schaffner scored.  Three minutes later Mia Struck set up Freitas to score.  Stella Starnes sets Freitas up to score nine minutes into the half.  Starnes and Freitas do it again 4 minutes later.  With 16 minutes left in the half Schaffner dribbled around the defense and scored. Blissfield gets an indirect kick and scores. The last 1 6 seconds of the game Emerald Sierer put the ball back in from defense and Schaffner scores her hatrick of the night.  Rachel Duford had 4 saves.  

Clinton beat Dundee 8-0.  Two minutes into the game Madalyn Freitas puts the ball to the post and Zoey Sierer finishes it.  Anna Schaffner and Paige Shankland work together with quick passes for Anna Schaffner to score.  Paige Shankland puts the ball throught to Zoey Sierer who gets the third goal of the night with 34 minutes left in the half.  Freitas gets the next goal 30 seconds later with an assist from Aubrey Lauer.  Twenty minutes later Aubrey Lauer sets up Zoey Sierer for her hatrick.  Two minutes later Freitas gets another one winning it off Dundee.  Fretias gets another one on a PK with 1 minute left in the half.  Freitas gets the last one of the night4 minutes into the second half.  Clinton plays again on Wednesday against Blissfield.

Clinton beat Columbia Central 9-1.  Madalyn Freitas scored the first goal of the night with an assist from Aubrey Lauer.  Two minutes later Anna Schaffner sets up Freitas to score.  Zoey Sierer puts the ball through for Freitas to score.  Columbia Central scores 1 minutes into the game.  On the corner kick Anna Schaffner puts a beautiful ball in, gets to Freitas puts it towards the goal  and Zoey Sierer scores on a header.  Zoey Sierer sets up Lauer to get the 5th goal for Clinton.  Ruby Sierer sees the ball from the back and puts it in to Lauer to score with 12 minutes left in the half.  With two minutes remaining in the half Lauer dribbles it in to get her hattrick for the night.  In the last minute of the half Freitas gets goal number 8 off a penalty kick.  At half the score is 8-1.  Three minutes into the second half Alissa Duford sets up Lauer to score the final goal of the night.  Rachel Duford had 3 saves.  Clinton plays on Friday at Ida at 5:30.

Clinton beat Blissfield 8-0.  Zoey Sierer took a quick shot and scored from Cylee Elkins' assist four minutes into the game.  Madalyn Freitas scored 18 minutes later using her technical skills to get around the defense.  .  Freitas scored the third goal of the night with an assist from Aubrey Lauer.  Aubrey Lauer scored off an assist from Ruby Sierer's throw in with 15 minutes left in the half.  Anna Schaffner scored 3 minutes later with an assist from Mia Struck. Stella Starnes fed Madalyn Freitas the ball which is taken by Blissfield.  Freitas wins the ball back to shoot and score with 6 minutes left.  Madalyn Freitas threw the ball in and Blissfield took possession as Freitas won the ball back, took the shot and scored.  At half the game is 7-0.  Center defender, Audra Mitchell finishes the night off with an assist from Ruby Sierer.  Racehl Duford had 3 saves and Leanne Mercier had 2 saves.  Clinton plays again on Wednesday at Onsted at 5:30. .      

The second Clinton Cup tournament took place this weekend.  Clinton beat Western Parma 2-1.  Western Parma scored in the first 5 minutes .  Western Parma and Clinton battled until Madalyn Freitas got the equalizing goal with the assist from Aubrey Lauer with six minutes left in the half.  Madalyn Freitas got the next goal 10 minutes into the half.  Rachel Duford had 14 saves and Leanne Mercier got one save.  Emma Snelling, Audra Mitchell, Cylee Elkins, and Ruby Sierer continue to protect the back line and advance the ball on the attack.   Clinton played in the championship game against Clio.  Clio scored 3 quick goals in the first 4 minutes of the game.  Clinton scored their first goal 20 minutes into the half with an assist from Cylee Elkins.  Elkins stuck to 17 to keep her from scoring and connecting with other players.  Rachel Duford had 8 saves. Clinton beat Dundee 8-0.  Madalyn Freitas started the night off 3 minutes into the game with an assist from Zoey Sierer.  Anna Schaffner put the corner kick in to Stella Starnes who drops the ball to Maya Hillegonds to score one minute later.  Anna Schaffner sees Freitas and she scores the third goal of the night.  Ten minutes later Freitas has it again and scores  her hatrick for the night.  Schaffner takes the shot and Zoey Sierer finishes it to make it 5-0 and that closes out the first half.  Rachel Duford scores after half with 13 minutes left.  Freitas gets the next one with 6 minutes left and then Schaffner finishes the night on a corner kick.  Rachel Duford and Leanne Mercier get the shut out!  Clinton plays Saturday at the Clinton Cup with Western Parma, Clio and Manchester.  Kick off starts at 9:00 am.

Clinton beat Ida 8-0.  Fourteen minutes into the game Paige Shankland sets  Madalyn Freitas up to score the first goal of the game.  Five minutes later Aubrey Lauer steals the ball off of Ida's defense to score her first goal of the night.  Madalyn Freitas gets the ball from Aubrey Lauer to score her 2nd goal of the night.  Aubrey Lauer takes the ball down and scores one minute after Freitas.  Anna Schaffner puts the ball through to Aubrey Lauer to score the fifth goal of the night.  Aubrey Lauer puts the ball in again and it hits the post, but Zoey Sierer picks it up and finishes it with 9 minutes left in the game.  Maya Hillegonds brings the ball down and sees Aubrey Lauer.  Lauer takes the shot and makes the game 7-0.  Madalyn Freitas uses her skills while being defended by multiple players and finishes the night with one minute left in the game.  Madalyn Freitas has 28 goals on the season along with Aubrey Lauer with 13 goals on the season.  Rachel Duford had 4 saves.  Emma Snelling, Cylee Elkins, Audra Mitchell, Ashlynn Lehman, Emerald Sierer, Jana Hillegonds, Leanne Mercier and Emily Haselschwerdt protected the goal.  Clinton plays at Dundee at 5:30 on Wednesday.

Clinton defeated Grass Lake 5-2.  Aubrey Lauer scored the first goal of the night with an assist from Zoey Sierer 12 minutes into the game. Aubrey Lauer sets up Madalyn to get the second goal of the night.  Thirty seconds later Zoey Sierer puts the ball through for Madalyn Freitas to score.  Ruby takes a throw in to the center of the  field to set Freitas up for the 4th goal of the night.  At half Clinton is 4-0.  Nine minutes into the half Grass Lake got their first goal of the night.  Aubrey Lauer scores the fifth goal of the night with 19 minutes left  Grass Lake comes back a minute later to score the final goal of the night.  Rache Duford had 15 saves.  Cylee Elkins, Emma Snelling, Ruby Sierer and Audra Mitchell defended and controlled the back.  Anna Schaffner, Aubrey Lauer and Maya Hillegonds transitioned and attacked well in the midfield.  Clinton plays again at home on Monday at 5:30 against Ida.

Clinton beat Columbia Central 5-0  Emma Snelling wins in the ball in defense takes it down put the ball for Madalyn Freitas to score the first goal of the night.  Three minutes later Lauer wins the ball in the middle and passes it off to Freitas who takes the shot and scores.  Anna Schffner receives the throw in and takes the dribble, sees Freitas and Freitas chases down the ball to score the third goal of the night.  Half ends 3-0.  In the first minute of the second half Schaffner puts the ball in for Zoey Sierer to score her first goal of the night.  Freitas gets the last goal of the night with an assist from Ruby Sierer to close out the game with a 5-0 win.  Rachel Duford played an incredible game in goal have 7 saves from stealing the ball of the feet of her opponent,  Cylee Elkins, Emma Snelling, Audra Mitchell, Ruby Sierer and Ashlynn Lehman held the back line.  Clinton plays at home on Friday at 5:30 against Grass Lake.

Clinton beat Hillsdale 14-0.  Three minutes into the game Cassie McNatt scored with an assist from Madalyn Freitas.  A minute later Freitas scores with an assist from Aubrey Lauer.  Freitas scores again with an assist from McNatt.  Paige Shankland scores with an assist from Freitas and this is the first five minutes of the game.  Six minutes later Zoey Sierer gets the goal with an assist from Freitas.  Stella Starnes gets the next goal with 27 minutes left in the half.  Lauer gets her first goal of the night with 22 minutes left in the half.  McNatt gets the next goal with 17 minutes left in the half.  Freitas scores her hatrick with 13 minutes left.  Rachel Duford comes out of goal and gets her first goal of the season.  McNatt gets her hatrick with a beautiful ball in from the corner of the field.  Anna Schaffner puts the perfect ball in on a corner and Rachel Duford scores on a header.  Anna Schaffner scores with 2 minutes left.  Freitas gets the final goal of the night with an assist from McNatt.  Rachel Duford and Leanne Mercier shared the goal for the half.  Clinton plays again on Thursday at 7:00 at Adrian College against Columbia Central.   

Clinton beat Onsted 9-1 in Clinton's LCAA opener,  Defender, Ruby Sierer takes a shot from outside the 18 and scores for the Redwolves 7 minutes into the game.  Lauer gets the assist from Ruby Sierer to score the second goal of the game.  Onsted answers with a goal from number 8.Ten minutes later Audra Mitchell feeds it in to Maddie Freitas to get the goal.  With 16 minutes left in the half Anna Schaffner puts it in the air on a free kick and it sails into the goal.  Aubrey Lauer goes it alone and tucks it in, in the upper right to get the 6th goal of the night.  Cassie McNatt feeds it in to Maddie Freitas with 9 minutes left in the half.  On a penalty kick Maddie Freitas scores closing out the half 7-1.  4 minutes into the half Aubrey Lauer passes it through to Maddie Freitas making it 8-1.  Stella Starnes closes out the night with a goal ten minutes into the half.

Clinton defeated Plymouth Christian Academy 8-0.  Aubrey Lauer started our scoring with a dribble into the net in the first 5 minutes of the game.  13 days later Lauer scores again with an assist from McNatt.  McNatt serves the ball in again and Freitas scores with 9 minutes left in the half.  Freitas sets it up and Lauer scores her hatrick for the game.  Lauer puts the ball through to Freitas and Freitas now has her hatrick with 2 minutes left in the half.  Three minutes into the second hafl Lauer sets up Freitas and she scores again.  Five minutes later Schaffner serves the ball through to Freitas and she scores her final goal of the game.  Maya Hillegonds played an incredible game in the center winning and moving the ball.  The defense, Emma Snelling, Audra Mitchell, Cylee Elkins and Ruby Sierer held the line and transitioned the ball for the attack.  Rachel Duford has a shut out game with 7 saves and had 12 corner kicks against her.  Clinton plays Onsted on April 13th at home.
