On Friday, Dec. 13th the JV Team traveled to Ann Arbor Skyline for an individual tournament that started at 5pm.  But due to the slow progression of the tournament it ended due to lateness and computer issues.  So many wrestlers were unable to finish their entire brackets.  But overall the Redwolves had a great night with many wrestlers winning matches, going undefeated, and getting mat time in on the night.  At 120 pounds Landon Robertson got two good matches in for his first year wrestling.  Grady Aldridge competed at 132 pounds and got some valuable experience.  At 150 pounds Brodie Stipe picked up several wins on the night and finished undefeated.  At 175 pounds Shane Cook saw his first action of the year and started off with pin, before dropping a 6-12 match, then picked up two more wins to finish 3-1 on the night.  Will Charlton competed at Hwt. and picked up a win on the night.  Connor Flood competed at 190 but was not feeling well and existed early due to sickness.  Royce Martinez also competed at 190 pounds and gained some mat time.  Manny Estrada competed at 215 pounds loosing his first match on points and dropping his next match as well.  Zander Urban went undefeated for his second tournament of the year and earned him wrestler of the week for the Red Team.  Grant Kutzley competed at 190 pounds and dropped his opener, but bounced back for a 7-3 win in his next match.  Then Kutzley picked up a fall in his final match to finish 2-1. Max Delphy competed at 132 pounds and was able to compete in several matches on the night to gain valuable experience.  Tim Isyk competed at 144 pounds and picked up a pin in his first match of the night.  Tim followed that up with a second pin in as many matches, but dropped his final match to finish 2-1 on the night.  Jacob Pope wrestled at 157 pounds and earned a fall in his first match and another fall in his second match after receiving an opening round bye to finish 2-0 on the night.  Aiden Simpson went undefeated at Hwt. for his second tournament in a row, picking up two wins on the night.  At 215 pounds Chance Maddox pinned his first opponent in the first period, and followed that up with another first period pin in his second match.  Chance finished his night with his third pin to finish 3-0.  Drew McNatt competed at Hwt. lost a tough match before picking up a pin in the third period against his opponent from Ypsilanti. Drew continues to improve and gain experience with his team mates.  Not all results were able to posted as they had computer problems at the end of the tournament, which made it difficult to get all the correct results.  But other than the late night for our wrestlers and families, they were able to compete and improve overall.  The JV team will hit the mats again on Monday, Dec. 23rd at Columbia Central High School starting at 9am.
