Last weekend was a good weekend for Clinton wrestling as the 2 teams swept the weekend starting with The B team going 5-0 on Friday at Canton. The day started with the host Canton and the Redskins won 53-25. Round 2 was against Dearborn high school and after falling behind 10-0 losing the first 3 matches and 4 of the first 6 Clinton stormed back to a 48-16 win. Ypsilanti Lincoln was next and again the Redskins won big 72-4 only surrendering one match. Those 3 wins put the team in the championship pool against Imlay City. Clinton had its closest match of the day with a 47-30 victory that put us in the final. Gibralter Carlson was the finals opponent and The Redskins jumped out early and finished the day with a 48-27 win. The B team is now 12-3 in varsity matches for the year. Landis Gillman and Finn Rafferty both went 5-0 for the day. Riley Jeffrey, George Ames, Noah Deshano, Makenzie German, and Billy Baker all went 4-1. Brennan Schnaidt went 3-1. Brandon Beach, Nate darm, and Jack Voll finished 3-2. They will all be back on the mat at the Dave Elliot hosted at Clinton January 5th.
