Clinton opens with big wins

The wrestling team started it's state title defense in style with 3 lopsided wins. One of the wins was against d4 #8 ranked Springport 76-0. Clinton recorded wins of 81-0 against Michigan Center and 74-3 against the Clinton B team. The B team was able to compete after a cancellation caused a shortage in teams. The B team split it's other 2 duals losing to Springport 55-24 but beating Michigan Center 58-16. Connor Younts, Coy Perry, Chase Packard, Zak Shadley, Nik Shadley, Landis Gillman, George Ames, Kent McCombs, AJ Baxter, Spencer Konz, Brayden Randolph, Logan Badge, and Brandon Felts all went 3-0 on the day. Ethan Younts went 2-0. Connor Busz, Nate Arntz, Michelle Arntz, and Ryan Phillips all went 2-1. Maurice Ames, Scott Wiler, Faith Blackburn, Wyatt Federer, Joey Preston, Nate Smith, and Wyatt Hicks all icked up a win during the day. The wrestling team next Travels to Hillsdale Wednesday the 17th to face Hillsdale and D3 #1 and returning state champ Dundee. Saturday Clinton will be at New Boston Huron for a Meet.
