The Varsity wrestling team traveled to Westland for the Rocket duals and came in 3rd. The day started with a win over Southgate Anderson 56-18. In the second round the 5th Ranked team in the country was waiting in Detroit Catholic Central. The Redskins battled but dropped the match 12-62. The next 2 rounds the team rolled to wins over Utica Eisenhower 74-12 and Wyandotte Roosevelt 69-12. That set up a final round showdown with the hosts for 2nd place. Westland John Glenn (ranked 9th in D1) was able to escape in a back and forth battle 42-36 to hand the Redskins the 2nd loss on the day. Noah Comar reached a Milestone for the day going 5-0 with 4 pins to set the new school record for pins at 118 and counting. Also going undefeated on the day was AJ Baxter 5-0 and Cecil Rafferty 4-0. Spencer Konz, Brayden Randolph, and Logan Badge all went 4-1. Garrett Phillips and Will Felts finished the day 3-1. The wrestling team is now 5-2 for the season and travel to Lansing for the Grappler Gold invitational. With some of the top teams in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
