The varsity wrestling team won the district team title Thursday at Lutheran Westland 70-9 over the host team. The meet started at 103 and number 1 ranked AJ Baxter got the Redskins off to a strong start with a pin in just 21 seconds. After a loss at 112 the Redskins ran off the next 6 wins to put the meet away. It started with Christian MInard at 11 with a pin in 20 seconds. Spencer Konz and Noah Comar received forfeits. Anthony stockdale got a major win at 135 16-7, Landis Gillman won by pin, and Jeffrey Konz won by forfeit to make the score 40-3. Lutheran Westland won 152 and Clinton won the rest. Brayden Randolph and Eathen Hicks won by forfeit and Cecil Rafferty got a pin at 189. The meet finished with forfeits by Trent Sexton and Don Stump. Clinton is now 29-4. The individual tournament is Saturday at Clinton.
