The varsity wrestling team had 12 wrestlers selected to the Lenawee county all-star meet. This was the most in school history where only the top 4 kids in each weight are invited. The wrestlers performed well with 4 champions for the event. The Redskins were led by Noah Comar and Brayden Randolph who earned most valuable wrestler awards for the upper and lower weights. Comar won his by beating the number 2 ranked wrestler from Hudson in D4 by pin. Randolph had to battle over the number 4 ranked wrestler in D4 from Addison 5-1 and them beating D2 honorable mention from Tecumseh 3-0. Not to be outdone the other two champs for the Redskins had tough opponents to claim their titles as well. AJ Baxter won 8-1 over the number 4 kid in D4 in the finals. Don Stump took the heavyweight division by pinning the Number 6 ranked wrestler in D4 from Sand Creek in the first period. Christian Minard took second at 119 pounds as the only other finalist. Spencer Konz, Anthony Stockdale, Riley Jeffrey, Jeffrey Konz, Eathen Hicks, and Trent Sexton all finished in 3rd place. Brandon Beach finished 4th for the Redskins. The Redskins wrestle at Home Wednesday before traveling to Adrian Madison on Saturday.
