December 23rd was the date of the first ever Chris Wittenbach alumni dual tournament and he was honored before the meet started for his 30 years of coaching at Clinton. The team then produced on the mat going 5-0 to be named tournament champions. The first 2 rounds went well as the Redskins beat Leslie and Shelby 60-11 and 60-15. The third round was against the 10th ranked Springport Trojans and in a back and forth dual the redskins prevailed 36-30. The 4th round against Melvindale was 60-18 before finishing the day with 8th ranked Addison and coming out on top 59-9. This dual included a win by Brayden Randolph over the number 1 ranked wrestler in division 4 at 160 pounds 1-0 and he was named the upper weight MVW finishing the day 5-0. Noah Comar was named the lower weight MVW after going 5-0. Also 5-0 for the day was AJ Baxter, Christian minard, Riley jeffrey, And Eathen Hicks. Spencer Konz and Anthony Stockdale both won 4 matches. Trent Sexton and Don Stump both won 3 matches and Landis Gillman went 2-0 in limited action. The Redskins will wrestle next Saturday December 30th at the Lawton team tournament.
