Clinton Varsity finishes 4th at John Glenn Duals

The varsity wrestling team traveled to Westland John Glenn and took 4th place in the largely division 1 tournament going 3-2 on the day. The team started off with Division 3 #7 Algonac and came away with a win 48-27. Then the Redskins wrestled Roseville and won 65-9 before taking on Nationally ranked Detroit Catholic central and falling 71-3. The final match in the pool portion was against Allen Park and the Redskins came out on top 74-6. Finishing second in our pool setup a match with Clarkston for 3rd place. The dual was a back and forth struggle but in the end the wrestling team fell 39-31. AJ Baxter, Christian Minard, Noah Comar, and Brayden Randolph all went 4-1 for the day. Eathan Hicks went 3-1. Anthony Stockdale, Trent Sexton, and Don Stump all went 3-2. Spencer Konz went 2-0 on limited action. The varsity team is now 5-2 for the year and will travel to Remus Chip Hills high school for an individual tournament this weekend.
