The Clinton High School Track and Field team hosted the Clinton Redwolves Invitational on Saturday April 5. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the meet was held at Dundee High School. Thirteen teams participated in the meet. For the boys, the Redwolves finished second to Quincy and the girls finished seventh.

In the girls races, medalists included Ella Claus who finished first in the 400 meter dash with a PR of 1:03.54 and third in the 200 meter dash with a PR of 28.75, Bella Bannon who was first in the high jump with a height of 4'10" and Khloie Miller who finished second in the pole vault with a height of 7'6". Claus and Bannon were also joined by teammates Katelyn Baker and Kylee Jordan to win the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:46.92. Personal best times were also achieved by Peyton Young in the 100m.

For the boys, medalists included Mason Brodie who finished first in the discus by throwing a distance of 169'2" which was a personal best and also earned him an automatic qualification for the state finals, Brendan Benschoter who had three first place finishes in the 100 meters at 11.69, the 200 meters at 24.22, and the long jump at 19'10", Cole Hillegonds who finished first in the 400 meters with a new PR of 54.18, Gabe Manchester who finished first in the 3200 meters with a time of 10:40.29, and Eli Turner who finished second in the high jump with a height of 5'8". Additional personal best times were achieved by Zeke Turner (200m), Peter Baker (110m hurdles), and Ben Jacobs (pole vault).

The team's next meet is Saturday, April 12 at the Bobcat Legacy Relays at Whiteford High School. The field events will start at 9:30 and the track events will begin at 10:30.
