Girls Score: Clinton: 71, Morenci 56

Our Clinton Girls Tracksters improves their record to 3-2 by defeating Morenci in unfavorable weather conditions. Some top performers were Alissa King 1st place and a pr in the 3200 run, 2nd place 1600 run. Lena Korte 1st place shot put, 2nd in discus, 3rd in the 400 and first in the 4x400 relay along with Tessia Struck, Bri Underwood and Lindsay Burton. Bri also claimed first in the 100 while Lindsay won both the 400 and long jump! Lindsay, Bri, Tessia and Paige Studnicka joined forces to win the 4x400 relay. Paige also won the 200! The 800 relay team of Ali Elwart, Megan Arnst, Chelsea Scheffler and Paige Studnicka were also first. Other placers were Emily Kirk discus, Mykell Brodie shot put, Chelsea Scheffler 300 low hurdles, Bri in the long jump, Ali 800.

The Clinton Men fall to 3-2 in the conference with a loss to a very competitive Morenic Bulldogs squad and the first loss to Division III top-five ranked Adrian Madison. Despite the dismal weather conditions and cold, there were some outstanding performances for the men including a clean sweep of shot put behind Brodie, Brown, and Johnson, first and second place in the men's discus throw with Posa and Brown, as well as first place in long jump with Clay Langer! Rounding out the performances of the field events featured Meeks and Minard both taking some quality points in the high jump. Scoring for the Redskins on the track were Skiff in the 110HH, Deshano taking third in the 100m dash, Clinton's 4x200 relay team of Underwood, Deshano, Wylie, and Freeman cruised to an easy win, Devitto and Urbanczyk battled for second and third in the 1600m run, and Underwood crushing the competition in the 400m dash. Finishing off the day for Clinton we had Antero scoring third in the 300LH, Urbanczyk third in the 800m run, Freeman and Wylie scoring second and third in the 200m dash, and finally Nelson winning the 3200m run with King displaying some lightning fast speed on a kick to finish third.

Clinton will now travel to Onsted for the annual Booster INV with field events starting at 2:00 and prelims in the races at 3:00.
