The 7th grade Redwolves came to play on Saturday at the LCAA Tournament! They came home with third place in the county!  They played 3 matches, Hillsdale, Hudson and then Dundee.  They took the first match against Hillsdale in 3 sets.  The scores were 18-25, 25-23, and 15-12.  They lost their second match against Hudson.  They put up a solid fight and came to the courts with revenge on their brain.  The won the first set 25-17, lost the second 24-25 and lost the third 15-11.  They made it down to the last match against Dundee to see who went home with third and fourth.  They lost to Dundee earlier in the week and came out victorious in the end!  They took the first set 25-18 and the second 25-23.   Great job Redwolves! 

 

First match against Hillsdale. The girls took an early lead beating Hillsdale 25-12 then 25-9. Every girl got a touch and contributed in some way. Top servers were Brooklyn Kranz (11 points, 2 aces) and Alyssa Piskorowski (8 points, 3 aces). Zoey Riddle (7 digs), Ella Wollett (3 digs), Amelia Harsh (2 digs) all had amazing defensive sets. Addie Loftis added 6 points (4 aces), 4 assists, 3 kills and 3 digs.  Mia Casey was strong at the net with 2 kills and 1 dig. With this first win the team will move on to the semifinals against Hudson.

 

The Lady Redwolves came up big defeating Hudson 25-20 and 25-15. Addie Loftis lead with 8 points (2 aces), 6 kills, 11 assists and 5 digs. Brooklyn Kranz added 6 points (2 aces), 5 kills and 3 digs. Kylie Hicks (1 kill) and Ella Wollett (1 dig) both added 4 points for the win. Mia Casey (2 kills) and DeLane McKinnon (3 kills) had a big presence at the net.  Winning this match put the Redwolves in the tournament championship against Ida.

 

The LCAA Tournament Finals came down to Clinton vs. Ida, where the Redwolves came away with the win!! Beating Ida in a close match 25-18 and 25-17. Kylie Hicks lead at the serving line with 10 points (1 ace). Zoey Riddle (3 digs) and Addie Loftis (5 kills, 8 assists) both had 7 points. Brooklyn Kranz had a big game at the net adding 10 kills along with DeLane McKinnon with 5 kills.  Mia Casey added a block and a kill in the match. Ella Wollett with 3 kills. Layla Sisty added 1 point and 4 digs. Alyssa Piskorowski had 1 kill. McKenna Hock added 1 kill and 1 block. Amelia Harsh with a great defensive game with 2 digs.  The Clinton Redwolves brought home the trophy. Great win for all the girls. Coach Miller could not be more proud!
