The 7th grade team took on Ida for their last game of the season. They put up a good fight in the first set, narrowly losing, 18-25.  The scores for the second and third set were 13-25 and 14-25.  Scoring leaders were Sophia Friske with 7 points (2 aces), Geonna Caballero with 4 points (1 ace), Henley Wright, Makena Peters, Paisley Kurowicki, and Mady Stratz all point points on the board as well.  The girls showed lots of growth over the year and developed strong team work along with improved serves.  

 

The 8th volleyball team ended their season with an impressive win over a tough Ida team. They swept the Bluestreaks 25-12, 25-17, 25-17. Leaders at the serving line tonight were Addie Loftis with 12 points (4 aces), 12 digs, 8 assists and 8 kills. Brooklyn Kranz with 10 points (5 aces), 8 kills, 7 assists and 7 digs. Layla Sisty with 6 points (1 ace), 2 kills and 2 aces. Zoey Riddle (12 digs, 6 assists and 3 kills) and Kylie Hicks (5 kills, 1 assist, 4 digs and 1 block) both added 5 points. McKenna Hock (1 kill and 2 digs) and Amelia Harsh both added 3 points. Mia Casey (1 kill), Delane McKinnon (1 kill), Josslyn Handy (1 block), Alyssa Piskorowski (1 kill), Jacy Brown and Ella Wollett all had a huge presence at the net defensively and worked hard on keeping their hits in.  The team ends their season undefeated with a 10-0 record and LCAA Champs. Coach Miller had this to say about the team, “It has been a privilege to coach these ladies this season. It was such a fun group to be with and grow with. Their athleticism, willingness to work hard, and love of the game has led to their continued success. They are the future of our program and I look forward to watching them in the following years!”
