Girls Middle School Volleyball vs. Ida HS School

The 7th grade team traveled to Ida on Monday. Despite losing the first two sets, they put up a solid fight in the third set. The scores were 7-25, 11-25, and 18-25. Leading scorers were Sophia Fiske with 9 points, Geonna Caballero with 5 points, Karsyn Nicholson, Paisley Kurowicki, Mady Stratz, and Aby Webb all had 2 points a piece. Makena Peters had played an important role with passing in the back. The girls are continuing to work toward improving their serves and their communication on the court. The Redwolves will head to Blissfield on Wednesday.
On 9/30, the 8th grade volleyball team headed to Ida for an LCAA match-up and came home with the win. The Redwolves came out strong in set one, defeating the Bluestreaks 25-15. In set two, Clinton continued its success with a 25-13 win. After securing the match win, they fell short in set three, 12-25. Offensively, the team was led by Brooklynn Kranz with 8 kills, followed by Addison Loftis with 6 kills and 7 assists. Mia Casey battled with Ida's tall middle blockers and secured a kill for the Redwolves. In the back row, Zoey Riddle made it difficult for the Bluestreaks to score, earning herself 11 digs on the night. Kylie Hicks and Amelia Harsh also contributed 1 dig each. From the service line, Loftis made it challenging for Ida to stay in system as she scored 18 points, including 9 aces. Zoey Riddle contributed 5 service points with 3 aces and DeLane McKinnon added 3 points with 2 aces. The team starts the second half of their season on Wednesday when they head to Blissfield to take on the Royals.
