Girls Middle School Volleyball vs. Dundee Community HS School

The 7th grade team traveled to Dundee and came home with a win. The girls came ready with their serve receive, proving that their hard work in practice is paying off. They took all three sets, 25-11, 14-25, and 12-25. Addie Loftis had 18 points, Brooklynn Kranz had 9 points, Zoey Riddle had 7 points, Kylie Hicks and Layla Sisty both had 5 points, and McKenna Hock had 4 points. DeLane McKinnon and Josslyn Handy both made their mark with points as well. Leea Ureche could be heard calling seams and getting off the net ready to hit.
The 8th grade volleyball team earned their 5th win of the season, defeating the Dundee Vikings 25-16, 25-22, 25-8. Serving continues to be a strong point for our team. Adella Kline led the way with 8 points(1 ace). Lexi Tzortzinis was close behind with 7 points(2 aces). Emily Farmer, Harper Ulrich, and Abby Sheneman each contributed 5 points. Lila Kennedy, Lexi Tzortzinis, Alecianna Freebairn, and Addie Vershum made great passes from the back row that allowed our setters to create opportunities at the net. Molly Sierer and Abby Sheneman led the way with 4 kills a piece. Melanie Lukas and Joslyn Kranz recorded 3 each.
Our annual Pink-Out game is on October 18 at home. We’d love to fill the bleachers to support the team and this wonderful cause. Hope to see you there!
