The 8th grade Girls Basketball Team participated in the Morenci TCC Tournament on Saturday and came away with a third place finish. During the Semi final around Clinton was paired up with Sand Creek. The Aggies took a commanding lead and never looked back as they defeated the Redskins 28-12.

Team Highlights 
Brynn Frederick lead the team with 6 points 3 rebounds and 2 steals, Mackenzie Brandvold had 4 points 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Josilyn Schanz added 2 points 3 rebounds 2 steals and Davia Welch had 4 rebounds.

In the consolation game it was the Clinton Redskins over the Whitmore Lake Trojans 31-16. Clinton used a half court press to get many steals that turned into  easy baskets for the Redskins. Coach Cornish was proud of her team’s execution of the offensive plays  and finishing. Brynn Frederick had 9 points 6 boards, Breanna Ramos also had 9 points 2 rebounds with 1 steal. Rachel DuFord had 6 points and 1 steal. Mackenzie Brandvold had 4 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal. Davia Welch had 2 points 6 rebounds and 1 steal. Josilyn Schanz had 1 point and 2 steals.

Clinton raised their record to 2-5 and will play their last home contest against the Summerfield Bulldogs on Tuesday.
