WHITMORE LAKE HIGH SCHOOL: 8
The Clinton 8th grade basketball team got their first win of the season by defeating the Whitmore Lake Trojans 31-8. The Redskins used their full court press to get many transition baskets in the first half. Coach Cornish was very proud of her team’s defensive effort on the night. Leading the way for the Redskins was Brynn Frederick with a double-double 13 points with 12 rebounds. Breanna Ramos followed with 10 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Mackenzie Brandvold had 4 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals. And Rachel DuFord had 4 points and 2 rebounds. Davia Welch had 6 rebounds and 1 steal. Destiny Crusinberry had 6 rebounds and Emily Barnes had 2 steals. Clinton now stands at 1-3 in the TCC and will travel to Whiteford to face the Bobcats on Monday.
