On 9/28, the JV Redwolves volleyball team competed in the Onsted Invitational, dominating in both pool and bracket play, bringing home the first place trophy! After playing for a few weeks without a full roster, the team was finally back and ready to compete. The Redwolves faced and defeated Chelsea(25-12, 25-19, 25-17) and Addison(25-20, 25-12, 25-4) in pool play. After pool play, Clinton was seeded 1st heading into the gold bracket. After a bye in the quarter finals, they faced Adrian in the semi-finals, winning both sets 25-15 and 25-7. In the finals, the Redwolves faced Onsted, who was also undefeated on the day. It was a tough battle, with many momentum shifts throughout the three sets. With a strong offense and solid defense, the Redwolves came away with the win: 25-16, 22-25, 16-14. 

It was an incredible team effort on the day, with all players contributing to the tournament win. At the net, Zoey Utz and Abby Sheneman led with 23 kills a piece, followed by Melanie Lukas with 18 and Bella Bannon with 16. Scoring leaders for the team were Emily Farmer with 42, Lukas with 34, and Lila Kennedy with 32. Ashlynn Benschoter was on fire in the back row, racking up 47 digs on the day. Melanie Lukas and Rylee Pepper also contributed defensively with 16 and 13 digs respectively. 

The team will face Onsted again on Tuesday and then head to Dansville on Saturday for their tournament.
