The JV Redwolves volleyball team traveled to Bedford on Thursday, September 5th. The team came away 3-0 on the evening, defeating two class A schools and one class B school: New Boston(25-14, 25-11), Bedford(25-15, 25-20), John Glenn(25-3, 25-9). Coach Kranz connects the wins directly to the teams’ hard work in practice and their understanding that each player has a role and responsibility in helping the team succeed. Offensively, the Redwolves were unstoppable! Joslyn Kranz and Bella Bannon led the team with 10 and 8 kills respectively.  Rylee Pepper, Erin Burton, and Abby Sheneman contributed 7 each. Melanie Lukas recorded 30 assists on the night. Serving was another successful area for the team. Lukas and Sheneman both served 18 points, while Lila Kennedy had 16 and Lexi Tzortzinis had 14. Tzortzinis served 100% on the night with Abby Sheniman and Joslyn Kranz earning 7 aces each. 

The defense also had a great evening, playing some tough attacks, especially from Bedford. Lila Kennedy and Melanie Lukas led with 13 digs each. Ashlynn Benschoter tallied 12 digs and had  90% serve receive accuracy! 

The team holds a 10-1 record as they head into the weekend, where they will travel to Napoleon for another quad. Their first home LCAA match is this coming Tuesday, September 10th. We hope to see a big crowd out supporting the team!
